Must not mention hygeine differences
GLEE star Naya Rivera has caused outrage among multiple races after saying that showering daily is “such a white people thing”.
Rivera shocked hosts and viewers of panel talk show The View yesterday when she said that “ethnics” do not feel the need to clean themselves as regularly as “white people”.
“I think that white people shower a lot more than ethnics,” the 28-year-old said, adding, “I feel like showering more than once a day or every day is such a white people thing.”
After her comments, co-host Rosie O’Donnell proceeded to call upon a stunned African-American woman in the audience, who insisted she is a “frequent showerer” before Rivera defended her remarks.
“My mom is half black, half Puerto Rican. She showers every day so I can say this,” the Glee actress said.
“But I’m now married to a white man. And he showers a lot, like two, three times a day,” she said of husband Ryan Dorsey.

The View is an embarrassment to US TV (as tho' it needed any more) and certainly does no favors to the image of the female sex!
The view operates on the premise that it is OK to say anything as long as it "feels good" which is what leads to many of the bigoted and totally ridiculous comments made there. That is why it is popular with even non progressive women since everyone "gets their say" and only conservative views are trashed.

This is stupid on many levels. Why was this even a topic? White people have no ethnicity, but she does? As for showering everyday, she needs to visit with some of the older generation, especially those from countries that traditionally didn't have showers in the bathroom. Oh, but that's right she's a 28 year old racist, so that ain't gonna happen.

trouel, your prog comments wouldn't be accepted in the countries that operate the way you _think_ you want the us to emulate. I find it quite amusing you spew hatred toward people and beliefs you're not truly afraid of...you're just asserting your autonomy rather like a 3 year old come to think of it.
