Fat speech?

Why do Leftists always get so nasty? This will not get much media attention -- a black Leftist insulting a popular Republican governor -- he will be protected
"Dr. Marc Lamont Hill is a professor at a Columbia University affiliate. For several years he was a Fox News contributor until a much publicized firing over his support for the notorious Assata Shakur. He is still a frequent guest on numerous cable news programs.

He acknowledges his comments about Christie will be controversial, but he is firm in his conclusion: “He does not have the body type to win a national election.”

“He can’t win, let’s be honest,” Hill said. “I’m going to say this and don’t get mad – he’s fat.”

“He’s fat for a politician. He doesn’t have the body type to win. There are other issues – look at that,” Hill said as he looked at an image of Christie.

For some strange reason it is not hate speech to insult overweight people. Just substitute "queer" or "Jewish" for "fat" in the comments above and imagine the uproar

Fat, queer and jewish are not quite equivalent as regards how you get that way and ability to stop being that way. Fat might be the easiest to alter - queer or gay very difficult or impossible to genuinely change - and jewish not at all if it refers to ethnic background.

Maybe William Howard Taft's beard obscured his weight, so the electorate didn't know he was a 300+ pounder?

What's the deal? Hill thinks that the guy is fat and that may turn off voters. He has the right to an opinion. But you are right, he will always be stupid. (In my opinion.)

Governor Christie has a great future in the country's political system no matter how much he weighs. This assumes of course, that the voters wish to hang onto their country for a while and not give it back to the Demoncrats. He's honest, down-to-earth, and a straight talker, things that are unheard of for a politician. In fact, he'd make a great president.

Gotta fill the minority education quota somehow.

Imagine, if he's one of the "brightest" what the rest be like?

I hear the sound of knuckles dragging down the hallowed halls of all the top ten NCAA schools!

Yes. Affirmative action has made ALL black degrees of dubious meaning.

Even Clarence Thomas thinks so

Then how did President Taft get elected? He was over 300 pounds.

Taft got elected because back then we didn't have a stupid war against obesity, nor did we judge fat people as lazy, or pay them $250,000 to lose weight on national TV.

Back then being fat was associated with prosperity, money, and even health.

Nowadays even Suze Orman that there's a connection between fitness and wealth. Which is funny since the host of "One nation, under debt" is fat and I don't think she has money problem. Neither does the devil (George Soros) nor Donald Trump nor plenty of other fat millionaires and billionaires.

But the media doesn't want us to know that, so they keep portraying fat as a negative, there's even a TV show called "Too fat for the prom" where young girls try to lose weight.

Seriously, our nation is becoming too shallow. I'm not saying that as a frustrated fat man but as someone who lost 65 pounds and finds out that being thin is not the paradise they paint on TV (although I admit it's easier than being fat).
