Must not mention the facts behind Trump comments

The writer below says that it is wrong to say  that  Hispanics  have a higher rate of crimes, including rapes.  But they do.  The statistics place them in-between blacks and whites for crime incidence.

And Trump's  comments about a halt to Muslim immigration were not unconstitutional.  The constitution refers to Americans only.  Not people who want to come to America.

And no evidence that Obama has Muslim sympathies?  How about the following utterances from him?

#1 “The future must not belong to those who slander the Prophet of Islam”

#2 “The sweetest sound I know is the Muslim call to prayer”

#3 “We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over the centuries to shape the world — including in my own country.”

#4 “As a student of history, I also know civilization’s debt to Islam.”

#5 “Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance.”

#6 “Islam has always been part of America”

#7 “we will encourage more Americans to study in Muslim communities”

So the writer below has closed his mind.  He wants to accuse Americans of racism and intolerance so he just ignores the real reasons behind Trump's statements.  That the things he singles out may simply reflect realism rather than racism he is just unable to think about.  He is Jewish and Jews are understandably sensitive about racism but seeing racism where it is not does  him no credit

Trump isn’t causing racism and intolerance in this country. He’s revealing racism and intolerance in this country.

When Trump called Latino immigrants criminals and rapists, that should have disqualified him from serious consideration by fair-minded Americans.

When he singled out blacks and Latinos for major crimes, that should have disqualified him.

But it didn’t.

When he called for “a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States,” he was advocating a religious test that goes against the Constitution and everything the United States stands for, and that should have disqualified him.

But it didn’t.  Want to know why?

Because, for at least the third of the Republican electorate that is supporting him — and perhaps a sizable number of Democrats who secretly feel the same way — Trump is an avenue to revolt against having to watch what they say all the time.

One poll in September revealed that 66 percent of Trump supporters believe President Barack Obama is a Muslim, despite no evidence that he’s not a Christian.

He said a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until they can be properly vetted to keep out terrorists.
I don't like Trump, but he has been falsely misquoted.

This is incorrect.

New stats (http://www.nationalreview.com/article/420565/charleston-shooting-obama-race-crime ) show a breakdown of offenders by race:
White: 42.9%
Black: 22.4%
Hispanic: 14.8%

The CATO Institute has a rather complete summary of studies on rates of crime and immigration which can be found here: http://www.cato.org/blog/immigration-crime-what-research-says

The conclusion:

Both the Census-data driven studies and macro-level studies find that immigrants are less crime-prone than natives with some small potential exceptions. There are numerous reasons why immigrant criminality is lower than native criminality. One explanation is that immigrants who commit crimes can be deported and thus are punished more for criminal behavior, making them less likely to break the law.

Not really.

Here's Trump's statement:

Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on.

https://www.donaldjtrump.com/press-releases/donald-j.-trump-statement-on-preventing-muslim-immigration

He later walked that back slightly to include vetting, but a vetting process was not in his original statement. In fact, his statement does not include what he defines as "figur[ing] out what is going on."

It is hard to agree that Trump was misquoted when it is his statement on his website that is being quoted.

I'm casting my vote for Don the "Don". No doubt in my 73 year old mind he's the best!

Every medicine design to cure you illness has some "side effects". You just gotta opt for the one with the least potent ones.

Pick one of the others (Rinos all) and their side effects will kill the patient...in this case America!

At least Trump is not beholden to the money lenders a corporates like every other candidate. Jean tell the truth unlike he others. America is dimmed under my other candidate. None of the others will halt the flow of illegals or reduce migrant workers displacing higher paid Americans.
