Jessa Duggar's strict Christian boyfriend is forced to delete anti-Catholic Facebook rant slamming religion's 'deadly errors'
What this guy said is basic Protestant theology. Northern Europeans once fought a long and bitter war for the freedom to say all that
Ben Seewald, the staunch Christian boyfriend of 19 Kids and Counting star Jessa Duggar, 21, has been forced to delete an anti-Catholic rant he posted to his Facebook page last week, after it caused a social media storm, reports RadarOnline.
The 19-year-old, from Hot Springs, Arkansas, vented his 'problem' with the Catholic faith, slamming the religion for suggesting that Jesus' mother Mary was a 'sinless being,' and quoting scripture to support his views.
'Where [Catholics] depart from Scripture, I will in no way support, but will call them out because I love them and desire that they be turned from their deadly errors,' the frothy diatribe read.
'I have nothing against individuals who are Catholic,' the post read. 'I know a lot of Catholics who are great people. What I DO have a problem with is the teaching that man can merit God’s favor through his own works or the works of other fallen men.'

Interesting word choices by the author of that article:
"rant"
"vented"
"frothy diatribe"
Welcome to the brave new world of biased journalism, comrade.
And yes, the Bible does teach that sound doctrine is crucial and everything else must be opposed.
But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.
— Galatians 1:8–9
And what I am doing I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.
— 2 Corinthians 11:12–15
[An elder] must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it.
— Titus 1:9
This (Catholics vs. Protestants) is like debating the merits of Harry Potter vs. Dune mythologies.
All Protestant religions came out of the Roman Catholic organization. The Church of England came into being when the king wanted to remarry, which was contrary to catholic doctrine. Therefore it is basicly catholic under a different name.
Catholics teach infant baptism, which is contrary to Scripture.
Salvation is impossible outside the catholic church. The Baptist are not protestant because they trace their history back to the first Church which was in Jerusalem and not Rome.
The Bible teaches that salvation comes by the Grace of God thru faith.
Religionists arguing over who has the best interpretation of ancient scribblings has brought endless misery to the World, as it's resulted in horrific wars, persecutions and suffering for millions.
Of course the religionists always come back saying that some so-called atheist or secular political systems have resulted in similar (by which they usually mean Communist or Nazi dictatorships, while ignoring the fascism supported by Christian churches), but of course two or more wrongs don't make a right!
". . . strict Christian boyfriend was forced to delete . . . ."
Did no one else wonder just who "forced" him, and by what right? Why didn't he just tell whoever was directing him to delete his commend to go pi$$ up a rope?
Anon 6:49 - Atheism in the last century alone killed more people than all the religious wars in history combined.
You seem to try to preempt this reply by insinuating that those regimes were supported by religion but that merely shows your blind spot instead.
All of those situations, by the atheists and religious were really started in the same way, in that those who had power over other people through whatever means used that power to eliminate those who would oppose them.
First recognize that fundamental flaw in human character and then you can be properly prepared to fight the battles that have meaning as opposed to this battle which had no lasting value whatsoever for either side.
Would this be the same Facebook that refuses to delete a page inciting the death of Jews? It seems that Facebook being an international entity is needing to be regulated by an international regulator. It caves to Atheists and Muslims but hates Christians.
12:50 - while implying otherwise, you are more or less agreeing with 6:49, and indeed how can you not.
It was not mere a-theism (lack of belief in a god) that was the principal banner under which these political regimes and dictatorships operated. They had particular political goals, where any "atheism" was more in the nature of suppressing competition from organized religion, albeit the main churches (Catholic, Protestant and Orthodox) often colluded with these regimes on an official level, while only a few brave individual Christians stood up to them.
12:50 AM It's not a body-count and a numbers game. Anyways I hope you were taking into account all the deaths in WWI that were between theist countries (Christian and Muslim, etc.)Or that in WWII the Japanese worshipped a god - their Emperor, or that the two atom bombs dropped on them were by the Western Allies whose countries were Christian. Even most Germans and German soldiers were either Catholic or Protestant.
