The paradox of hating America whilst choosing to live there

Another comment on the disgraceful events at Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill, Calif. on "Cinco de Mayo"
"Assistant Principal Miguel Rodriguez, at said youth propaganda camp on May 5, told a group of Anglo kids they had to turn their American-flag T-shirts inside-out or be sent home.

One of the boys' mothers told NBC Bay Area, "They said we could wear it on any other day, but today is sensitive to Mexican-Americans because it's supposed to be their holiday, so we were not allowed to wear it."

It’s hard to imagine any other nation on Earth whose populace would be so patient, for so long, at such in-your-face outrages to their national pride and sovereignty.

Not the ‘Mexican colors’ thing. That was fine, like wearing green on St. Patrick’s Day. I’m talking about the notion that showing the Stars and Stripes might offend anyone who has chosen to come to America.”

I personally would think it appropriate for the "offended" ones to be sent back to Mexico, family and all.

But of course it is not really the fault of the Mexican kids. It is the fault of the Left-run educational system which told them that they SHOULD be offended and that it is OK to despise America, as Leftists themselves do.

Cinco de Mayo is NOT a Mexican-American holiday, it is a Mexican holiday. Would a Mexican school require its students to turn their shirts displaying Mexican flags inside out on the fourth of July so that American-Mexicans can celebrate "their holiday"?

The Cinco de Mayo isn't celebrated in all of Mexico, just the region of Puebla, it's not even their independence day.

What happened at that school is the reason I don't believe in diversity. I can tolerate different cultures, I don't tolerate being told that my culture offends people and so I must hide it.

This is simply another example of what happens when the people of this country become weak, mindless, and distracted by irrelevant things put in front of them by this govt and the MSM.

A large portion of the people, and most of the government institutions are now totally consumed by political correctness. It's one of the reasons we allow foreigners (in many parts of the country) to control our schools and other institutions. We then complain that they have no respect or regard for our country, our traditions, our history, or our laws. And why should they, when they see we don't.

Political correctness and diversity are tools that were created by the anti-American left to dilute our country and people. And it's working because the American people no longer have the will to fight for their own country. We have become foreigners in our own land, and because of our weakness, we deserve everything that's coming our way.

Um, people, it is the United States of America, not Mexico-America.

So if the US is overtaken by "multi-culturalism" and has the PC consequences, as shown here (among many other examples), then why castigate europe or britain for their versions of multi-culturalism ?! (ie. Put your own house in order first - or what the Bible had to say about wood in eyes).

---Because in America you don't go to jail for wearing an American flag. Those kids were vindicated in the end, the assistant principal was forced to apologize and the school board defended the American kids.

"

Got a feeling that celebrating another country's holidays would be illegal in Mexico...
