CA: Mojave cross at center of court fight reported stolen

Leftists will stop at nothing to get their way
"A war memorial shaped like a cross that has been at the center of a Supreme Court fight has been torn down by vandals from its remote perch in a California desert.

The 6-foot-tall metal structure was removed Sunday night from Sunrise Rock in a lonely stretch of the Mojave National Preserve, said government officials and veterans groups that have been fighting for years to keep the cross on national park land.”

Don't feel bad War Memorial People - Lefties did the same thing to a bunch of crosses at Northern Kentucky University which were part of a "pro-life" display.

To be fair, even though the timing suggests that it was probably leftists who oppose Christianity, there is a reasonable possibility that it was just simple vandalism.

The Desert Dispatch received an anonymous letter from a person claiming to have taken the cross. The Dispatch says that there is no way to verify or validate the claims made in the letter, and published it with those provisions. You can read the letter here:

The NY Times, on the other hand, says the theft may be related to scrap metal dealers known to "scour the area."

Uh huh. Sure.

Yep - christian paranoia at work again - it's not all about you!

Anon 3:28 = Hey, maybe we stole it ourselves to make it look like we're persecuted - you know, like lefties do when "creating" racial incidents!

Timing indeed makes it highly unlikely, but my first thought too was that it was probably just scrap metal thieves at work trying to throw police off the scent by making it look like someone else.

How's about you coming out to Brooklyn. I got a nice big bridge to sell you!

But will it be allowed to be re-built? you can be sure that the Left will use this opportunity to try to prevent its reconstruction.

bogside,

You shouldn't have left off the first part of my statement.

Yes, it is likely that it was an anti-christian leftist, but it's not definite. We need to be careful about overstating our case, because doing so leads to stuff biting us on the butt.

Luke bubbie,

I think profiling is a legitimate means of destroying the enemy.

So I pick 'em out of the crowd

Put my sights on 'em

AND,

BANG!

Ya, occasionally I do some collateral damage, but it's sure beats being over-run by the bad guys.

Oh Luke - if only thy words were ever soft and sweet!
