Anti-Israel hate speech comments skyrocket on French internet

Moderators of French websites have been overwhelmed by a storm of hatred over the Israeli incursion into Gaza. The latest conflict has triggered outbreaks of violence in France between the country’s Jewish and Muslim populations.

While Parisian protests over Israel’s operation in Gaza descend into violence and clashes, the internet has seen an explosion of hate speech related to the conflict. French law bans racist, anti-Semitic or discriminatory messages, but moderators have been hard-pressed to keep up with the rise in hateful comments.

Representatives from companies that monitor online content told AFP that they normally block 25 to 40 percent of comments, but since the Israeli incursion this statistic has shot up to up to 95 percent.

Isnt the french symbol a chicken?

I believe that one of their symbols is a rooster?
As for the story - here in Australia too we are seeing a rise in anti-semitic acts. This has been blamed (at least in part) by the 'biased' coverage by the media of the conflict.

Once a cheese eating surrender monkey, always a cheese eating surrender monkey.

There is no testosterone in France.

What a lovely bunch that comment here. God is watching you. Beware.

Dear Rev Jim, Perhaps you're new to this site, but it's mainly for xenophobes (including francophobes, anglophobes, europhobes in general and latinophobes), homophobes, gynophobes, atheophobes, darwinophobes, leftophobes and Washingtonophobes, to name but a few phobic topics they like to rant about knowing that they are preaching to the choir here and any interlopers who dare to disagree are insulted and called intolerant liberals or just "trolls".

It's amazing how they highlight Israeli incursion into Palestine, and not Hamas bombing Israel.

Rev Jim, you will also notice this site is also home to liberals like anon 1:58 who can't debate so the resort to name calling.

Rev. Jim said...

Hmm. I do not see that 1:58 is name calling at all. If a person identifies him/her self with one of his "phobes", how can that be his fault?

I shall reserve judgment on what anybody says here on this lively blog. Have a blessed day.

Liberals are first, last and always truthophobes. Truth to leftist dogma is like a cross to Dracula.

Too many of the French are afraid of the Muslims, so they gives them free rein ... and occasionally join in, both as a form of appeasement signalling and as a psychological defense against their own shame.

This same pattern is being repeated in many other countries as well, it's hardly just in France.

It will not end well.

P.S. Rev, Jim is a troll, people. Hey Jimmie Babe, which Church is yours? Identify and testify, brother!

I love it that the IDF is stomping the living snot out of Hamas. Interesting how all the leftists identify with terrorists that even the Egyptians and Arab League can't stand. Go Israel! Beat Hamas like a rented mule.

Stinky has just gone right ahead and demonstrated 1:58's case!

Stinky, where do you live? What is your bio? Since you want personal information regarding Rev. Jim, it is only fair that you provide your's as well. (Was that a trollish thing to say? Sorry.)

Busted, Rev. Troll, busted you are. And how long did it take? Guess this won't help your status anxiety much, will it?

Ta ta, loser.

More deflection from troll stinky. Sigh. Go away loser.

Why Rev. Jim, that's so unlike a man of the cloth, but this is where vanity & vexation gets you.

Rev. Jim said...

The internet is alive and well here. I shall find somewhere else that has rational discussions.

Anonymous said...

No you won't. You'll continue to troll under different pseudonyms, like the phoney that you are.

A very wise move Rev. Don't get further entangled with the backwoods troll calling himself "Stinky" (and he/she/it probably does in fact stink a lot).

No you won't. You'll continue to troll here under different pseudonyms, like the loser phony that you are, too stupid to miss even under a fake name.

Good luck Rev. it's just a goon show here!

Rev Jim has gone back to moderating Stormfront.

"too stupid to miss even under a fake name."

Is stinky your real name?

Anonymous said...

"Stinky" has just stupidly revealed that using pseudonyms is what he/she/it obviously does too!
I think the Rev was actually quite genuine, as well as wise to go elsewhere for rational discussions, rather than be attacked by undeserved insults from our resident major troll sometimes known as "Stinky".

Stinky is my name, my one and only name, when I am on this site. That way, people can have discussions with me. Unlike you, I don't have to make up other personas in order to pretend that someone else agrees with me.

Arrested development -> insecurity -> status anxiety -> narcissism -> posing -> pretense, the basic troll equation, which is why you pretend to be a Reverend. When you grow up, figuratively as well as literally, you'll understand.

If you want last word, go ahead. I'm tired of lecturing to a child.

Stinky is too dim to realize he's addressing an already departed visitor to this site who Stinky chased away quite unnecessarily with his typically boorish trollery!
