British Conservative  councillor suspended for posting a Facebook picture which 'compared Muslim children in burkas to bin bags'

A pretty good comparison, as far as I can see

A local councillor has been suspended for posting a comment on Facebook comparing Muslim children wearing burkas to bin bags.

The Conservative councillor for Enfield, in north London, has denied being Islamophobic and defended his comments as 'blokeish banter'.

Mr Joannides posted a photo showing a woman and child dressed in burkas standing next to two bin bags.

He wrote underneath: 'I saw her standing there and I told her she had three beautiful children. She didn't have to get all p***ed off and threaten me. It was an honest mistake!'

Mr Joannides is of Greek Cypriot origins.  Decades back, the Muslim Turks invaded and took over Northern Cyprus.  And Greeks are passionate people so it would  be a long search to find a Greek Cypriot who approves of Muslims

Everyone knows muslims have NO sense of humour unless it relates to punishment of non-believers.
I would love to see the photo because I believe this joke has been done before with a photo as evidence.
I would just add would the last Englishman migrating please bring the flag with him.
We have a thriving Greek community in Australia so the councillor would be more than welcome as long as we can ship some muslim baggage back the other way in exchange.

If either person has trust issues it should be addressed right away or else the distance
marriage will be set up for failure. As for coping with temptation, this
is where your commitment comes into play and the
upcoming preparing that you do. If you think they don't, imagine you have been drinking all night.

Well, i'm not a Brit, thank God, so i dont't know what a "bin bag" is. But, when i think of Muslim children wearing burkas, all my mind sees are targets.

A bin baq is a large plastic bag -- usually black -- into which household rubbish is put

So 3:54 PM proudly announces ignorance of how his/her own language is used in other countries. That's the problem with the insular mentality of Americans and how it back-fires on them in such a negative way they are perceived abroad, and yet they feign surprise! (Perhaps jonjayray should have also translated "rubbish" into "garbage" so you don't have to ask another silly question!
