How awful!  Sorority Photo Features Sombreros, Mustaches etc.

Why is it wrong to imitate Mexicans?  Are they inferior?  The reaction seems to show that as the hidden assumption

The girls in the Chi Omega sorority at Penn State are in a little bit of trouble for posting a racist photo on the internet.

The racist sorority photo, which was apparently taken on Halloween, features several girls dressed up in sombreros and ponchos for a Mexican-themed party. The costumes would probably be enough to get the girls in trouble on their own but a few sorority members are also holding up drug related signs. One reads”Will mow lawn for weed + beer” and the other says “I don’t cut grass I smoke it.”

Jessica Riccardi, the president of the Nu Gamma chapter of Chi Omega, said that the photo was under investigation.

Riccardi told told the Daily Collegian:  “Our chapter of Chi Omega sincerely apologizes for portraying inappropriate and untrue stereotypes. The picture in question does not support any of Chi Omega’s values or reflect what the organization aspires to be.”

Director of Penn State’s Public Information, Lisa Powers, said that the photo was protected by the girls’ First Amendment rights but added that she was extremely disappointed that they chose to have a racist party.

The stupidity of POLITICAL CORRECTNESS these liberal jerks are so afraid of offending some minority and this sesivivity training nonsense whens this popycock going to end?

That photo is seen as "offensive" because Mexicans have now been made "official" victims of America. And, along with blacks, gays, women, and Muslims, anything that is said or done that Mexicans don't like, or disagree with, is "offensive".

And no, this was not accomplished by the Mexicans themselves. It was done, as usual, by their guilt-ridden, self-hating, White liberal enablers, who make sure America is never short of "victims".

Bird, it's not going to end. The weaker, dumber, and more gullible the people get, the stronger these oppressive and freedom-killing rules of political correctness will get.

It will end when the "protected" classes literally start beating (some sense) into the heads of the libs that come up with this bs. The beating part is already in full swing in the urban wastelands that the major cities have become. The sense part will follow sometime later, depending on the social status and number of victims.

Doubt it. Just look at the crime stats and understand that black on white crime has exploded in the past few years and is encroaching on formerly safe, exclusive areas.

This is only because it's Penn State. This soroity isn't the first and won't be the last to do something stupid. If it had been any other school it probably wouldn't have been deemed news worthy.

Political Correctness just another word for SOCIALISM

Since when is 'Mexican' a race? There is only one race, the human race.

Yet it's okay to dress up in lederhosen? Why does the left have double standards? Because they think these groups like blacks and hispanics are inferior and thus need special protection. Liberals are racist and have really strong stereotypes of groups.

Anon 11:07,.... it's not that liberals think those groups are inferior. Liberals simply want to create the impression that they're going out of their way to help those groups.

Why would liberals do that? Because the Marxist-in-Chief and his fellow Demoncrats got the overwhelming majorty of the votes from those groups. Yes, those people are just dupes and political props. They just don't know it.

More and more this demonstrates that the races should not associate. Everything is an offense, and eggshells must be walked upon in order to communicate and live. If you only surround yourself with those of your own race it is much less likely that you will say something that will be racially offensive to others. While you might rob yourself of cultural experiences, the career ruining label of racist in the PC world can destroy your life. Best to avoid other races if at all possible. Don’t socialize or associate if it is at all avoidable. This is the new America we live in. Beware of what you say or who you are around.

When the ability to laugh at oneself ends, political correctness appears.
Why get offended at a harmless prank? Like Anon 11:07 said, no-one gets upset at Oktoberfest parties.

Let alone St. patrick's day. it's okay to think all Irish are drunks. But if you stereotype a liberal darling group, liberals prance around, limp wrists out, screaming offense.

I think the correct punishment is for all members of the sorority to parade around my house in thong bikinis while I make a few selections. Hey, works for me...

nothing to do with race, but nationality. If they had made fun of Germans and dressed up like them nobody would care and everyone would be laughing. Get over it.
