More hate speech against Christianity

We read:
"On February 24th, the Huffington Post published a piece on its Comedy page entitled “The Jesus-Eating Cult of Rick Santorum.” The author of the post is Larry Doyle, a writer with credits on such serious TV dramas as The Simpsons, Beavis & Butt-Head, and Looney Tunes.

I have read the post (and Doyle’s non-apology apology). My initial response was one of non-surprise. We so often see people trashing/mocking someone or something after they have broken away from that person or thing, do not understand it, or are afraid that it is gaining influence in their world. Perhaps all three conditions exist here.

So what’s so offensive? The headline for starters. “The Jesus-Eating Cult of Rick Santorum” — In just a few words, a leading candidate for the GOP presidential slot is being called a cannibal and a cult member.

Doyle then launches into his brutal attacks on Catholics. He describes the faith as a “so-called church” and also refers to it as the “tactical arm of the North American Man-Boy Love Association”

Meh. Just typical Liberal-speak. If Santorum was a Muslim or an Atheist, he'd be revered by the left.

Nothing to see here, move along.

It was a satire, you morons. It was in the humor section. However, he does speak the truth.

@anon 3:19 your ignorance is showing. I can't speak for Muslims but true Christians do NOT delight in anybody burning in hell.

It is safe to make fun of Christians. They're unlikely to stab you in the chest like someone did to Theo Van Gogh. Like in the movie 2012, they showed the Vatican being destroyed but would not show Mecca because they did not want their employees being murdered. These are also the same people who make mammy jokes about Secretary Rice, Colin Powell, and Justice Thomas. The same type of people who advocate for the rape and murder of Michelle Malkin, and make cruel sexual jokes about underage children of GOP politians.

6:56 AM I said "Christians" you slyly slipped in the adjective "true" which of course just begs the question which Christians are true ones, and on examination every Christian could be accused by another of not being a true one - as witness the countless denominations and sects of that religion which each regards itself as having the "true" version, and even each individual who calls him/herself Christian can criticise another for not being a true one, and often do! The "no true Scotsman" syndrome/fallacy.

NAMBLA is a leftist organization. Likely the majority of which are atheist, or extremely twisted heretics of a standard demonination. Although since leftists defend the "abortion" of infants after birth, using children as sex toys can't be that worse off to them than killing them.

Why is it "likely" the majority of NAMBLA members are either leftists or atheists? Many might be Catholics who spend half their time in the confessional-boxes.

Membership in NAMBLA is a requirement for Catholic priests.

@ 8:39- You can't be a Catholic priest and a NAMBLA member.

It's just not possible to look as cool as Marlon Brando in a priests vestments...
