Leftists have accused Kirk Cameron of hate speech for his Biblical view of homosexuality but they have done plenty of hating back. They are the only ones actually doing any hating as far as I can see. Saying that homosexuality is wrong does not mean you hate homosexuals. In Romans chapter 1 Paul makes clear that they are in the hands of God.
It will be a sad day when people can no longer express Biblical beliefs.
Kirk Cameron said he is a victim of ‘hate speech’ after he called homosexuality ‘unnatural’, ‘detrimental’ and ‘destructive’ during an interview with Piers Morgan on CNN.
Cameron, an evangelical Christian, came under fire from gay rights campaigners for the controversial comments he made on Friday.
When asked by Morgan if he thinks homosexuality is a sin, the 41-year-old star said: 'I think that it’s unnatural. I think that it’s detrimental, and ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilisation.'
Cameron also spoke out against gay marriage, adding: 'I believe that marriage was defined by God. Marriage is almost as old as dirt, and it was defined in the garden between Adam and Eve. 'One man, one woman for life 'til death do you part. So I would never attempt to try to redefine marriage. And I don’t think anyone else should either. So do I support the idea of gay marriage? No, I don’t.'
But the former Growing Pains star has fought back against the backlash he has been subjected to and defended his controversial viewpoints.
'I spoke as honestly as I could, but some people believe my responses were not loving toward those in the gay community. That is not true. I can assuredly say that it’s my life’s mission to love all people,' he told ABC News in a statement.
'I should be able to express moral views on social issues, especially those that have been the underpinning of Western civilization for 2,000 years — without being slandered, accused of hate speech, and told from those who preach ‘tolerance’ that I need to either bend my beliefs to their moral standards or be silent when I’m in the public square.

The evils of homosexiuals are mentioned in the bible the KNIGHTS TEMPLARS with homosexiuals
I am a gay male. I support Mr.Camron's right to express any opinion he has. I may not agree, but i support his right to say it in a free country. I do not support gay marriage even though i am gay.
Adam and Eve? Google First Scandal.
@517 Wise man. Marriage can be tough. I've actually seen polls that say quite a few gay males never want to marry.
It's classic projection; transferring your faults onto others.
George and Martha Washington had no marriage license.
They engaged in a legally binding oral contract when they said wedding vows before witnesses.
Just as the government would be wrong to require a license to have a child, the government is wrong to issue a license to have a spouse.
If there were no marriage license mandates, many of the gay marriage issues would disappear.
Well said Kirk.
He was asked about his moral view on a significant moral issue. HE answered the question.
As Kirk stated, what the gay lobby is pushing is for no-one to have a contrary view or, if you have the gall to disagree, to stay silent.
Freedom for me but not for thee in other words.
Unfortunately, the so-called gay rights movement, (i say so-called, because they already have the rights they demand. What they truly want are "special rights") has been subverted and controlled by radical gay activists, not average gays. It's the radicals who "demand" total tolerence from everyone else, while showing absolutely none for anyone who disagrees with them.
It's the radicals who want to be made into a special class of people with rights and protections above and beyond those enjoyed by the rest of our society. (see: hate crime laws) And, in order to get their way, they avoid the will-of-the-people or elected officials, and instead, use the liberal courts. This is one of the main reasons so many are against them.
Cameron has the right to voice his prejudices, but he shouldn't be surprised to have some free-speech criticism right back at him.
As for "special rights" - homosexuals do not have the right to marry an adult person whom they love and wish to marry, so what use is a right which someone doesn't want or cannott use - ie. marry a person of the opposite sex (and for what purpose) just to fit in with the bigotry of other people? Laws about only marrying people of the required race were abandoned as undemocratic, so should laws about marrying people of the required gender. As for the historical structure and practice of marriage, it has changed a great deal over time. For a long time women were once merely the vehicle of property and cementing alliances between families, communities and even whole countries in the case of royal marriages. Then polygamy was and still is a well-practised tradition.
With same-sex marriage, heterosexuals would also then enjoy the same right to marry people they don't want to and never asked to (just like homosexuals now)!!!
With unelected imperial judges forcing gay marrage on america there comes good reasons for judges to have term limits
Yeah - just get rid of judges you don't like! Do you know where else that happens and has infamously happened in the past?
Judges only have the authority to interpret existing law. Those who create new law from the bench or pass judgements based outside of law have overstepped their authority. You could even say that they are overstepping their constitutional authority, and are thus, breaking the law.
Even careful judges can make errors which lead to such a judgement, but a judge who routinely oversteps his authority is a faithless and lawless judge and should be disbarred.
Clarence Thomas is Good Judge he scares the liberals
Judge Judy should be the only judge!
