The religion of peace again

Muslims disrupt speech about free speech
"A Swedish artist who angered Muslims by depicting the Prophet Muhammad as a dog was assaulted as furious protesters interrupted his university lecture about the limits of free speech.

Lars Vilks told The Associated Press that a man leaped from the front row and head-butted him Tuesday as he was delivering his lecture at Uppsala University, breaking Vilks' glasses but leaving him uninjured.

Police later said the attacker was stopped before he could reach Vilks and that the artist may have bumped into plain-clothes officers who briskly evacuated him from the room. Three people were detained, but it wasn't immediately clear whether the attacker was among them.

A video clip of the incident by a Swedish newspaper showed police using pepper spray and batons to hold off an angry crowd shouting "God is great" in Arabic after Vilks was escorted out of the lecture hall....

If any of these students were foreign citizens and proved to have used unwarranted violence on campus, they ought to be expelled from the university/institution and may then have no basis to their visas and then be expelled from the country. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom to riot or attack. If any of the students were citizens of the country they could maybe charged with assault.

It gets worse:

Quote: "But the university apparently disagrees. Officials said they would "not likely" invite Vilks again because of the incident. In some quarters, the university's reponse is adding to concerns that violence and threats from some members of the Muslim community are effectively muzzling free speech."

The university gives lip service to free speech, but will not defend it when attacked.

Radicalism, like terrorism, is fueled by weakness. What some westerners see as compassion and a willingness to accommodate, muslims see as weakness. If you show a wild animal fear, it will attack you.

As Islam creeps across the globe, we non-Muslims neet to understand that our days are numberd unless we take a stand to prevent it. Simply put, freedom of religion is not in the muslim vocabulary.
