US appeals court upholds “under God” in loyalty oath

The 9th Circus is not so bad after all!
"A federal appeals court upheld the use of the words ‘under God’ in the Pledge of Allegiance and ‘In God We Trust’ on U.S. currency, rejecting arguments Thursday that the phrases violate the separation of church and state. The San Francisco-based 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel rejected two legal challenges by Sacramento atheist Michael Newdow, who said the references to God are unconstitutional and infringe on his religious beliefs.”

Atheists have religious beliefs? Isn't that like saying lesbians love to have sex with men?

The only reason the 9th Circus ruled this way is because had they not, they knew they'd be overturned by the SCOTUS. Also, someone might finally force them to show on what page of the Constitution do the words separation of church and state appear.

We all know the US is a theocracy -in effect if not in name.

Well, considering that the Founding Fathers of the united States were all God-believing people

...and considering that the "New England Primer" that was the accepted teaching text at the time was filled with Christian Bible verses and references...

...and considering that the "Declaration of Independence" specifically refers to God...

...and considering that the United States Constitution is signed "In the year of our Lord", a direct reference to Jesus...

...and considering that the early framers of the united States did so under the guidance of God through public prayer...

...it's easy to conclude that this country WAS founded on God-believing principles.

If that makes it a theocracy, then so be it.

Exactly what denomination is the Theocracy of the US? Methodist?

QUOTABLE QUOTES;

"The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it to be always kept alive. It will often be exercised when wrong, but better so than not to be exercised at all. I like a little rebellion now & then. It is like a storm in the Atmosphere."
– Thomas Jefferson

Isn't it sad that we have to constantly reaffirm the most basic beliefs this nation was founded on?

What we need is a law that brands leftism as treasonous, not only treasonous to this nation, but to everything normal, rational people believe in. And no, the law would not have a mandatory death penality, as the Left would demand for those who disagree with them. Instead, it would mandate "immediate and permanent" exile. It's the only way to rid ourselves of the insidious malignancy known as leftism.

this is the same nutjob that tried to destroy the Boy Scouts.

I think a Constitutional Amendment reading "Adherence to any form of collectivism, Islamism, or any other ideology inimical to individual liberty SHALL DISQUALIFY a person from holding federal office" would do the trick to neutralize Leftists by keeping them out of power, where they become a threat, and would be in a position to do the most damage.
