We read:
"Although stopping just short of announcing her candidacy for governor, Carolyn Fayard appeared to be a candidate on the stump Thursday night when she was the featured speaker at the Washington Parish Democratic Party banquet at the old K.C. Hall.
Fayard, who last year lost in her bid to replace Mitch Landrieu as Lieutenant governor, delivered a politically charged message to a crowd that approached 150.
“I hate Republicans. I hate Republicans,” Fayard said, drawing some nods and voices of approval from the crowd. “They are cruel and destructive. They eat their young.
“They don’t think. They don’t allow people to think. They are bullies.”

Wow! There's reams of evidence that hate drives the Left but they rarely admit it so openly.
I don't suppose that she meant it literally in saying that GOPers eat their babies but imagine the furore if a Republican had said that about Democrats
And the claim that Republicans don't allow people to think is amusing. It's Democrats who are always trying to suppress speech that they disapprove of. She's just one angry lady and anger is not good for rationality.

ARTICLE CORRECTION: Liberals cannot be accused of hate speech--that is reserved strictly for Conservatives.
It's not just anger. It's fear and desperation. The Demoncrats are still reeling from the Nov. mid-terms, and are deathly afraid the backlash will continue in the 2012 elections. That's also one of the reasons the Leftist MSM has been working so hard to create the illusion that the Tea Party is dead.
Be warned. The coming 2012 elections will be the dirtiest and most corrupt in our history. The Left has no intention of giving up the power they've held for the last several years. In fact, don't be shocked if you see the Marxist-in-Chief and his handlers "invent a national emergency" in early 2012 which (he'll claim) will force him to suspend the elections and perhaps, the Constitution itself. It won't be all that much of a stretch for him, since he now thinks nothing of ignoring and violating the Constitution.
Sigh, another harpie who hasn't gotten any action in awhile.

'We the people' raises a valid point. Everything that Obama decried before the election as unconstitutional he has now done himself. Total hypocracy from a constitutional lawyer. He knows the the only authority that can take him down is the supreme court which he has tried to stack in his favour.
Given the state of the world I would not rule out such an event happening.
"If we discard morality and substitute for it the Collectivist doctrine of unlimited majority rule, if we accept the idea that a majority may do anything it pleases, and that anything done by a majority is right because it’s done by a majority (this being the only standard of right and wrong)—how are men to apply this in practice to their actual lives? Who is the majority? In relation to each particular man, all other men are potential members of that majority which may destroy him at its pleasure at any moment. Then each man and all men become enemies; each has to fear and suspect all; each must try to rob and murder first, before he is robbed and murdered."
-- Ayn Rand on Democracy
"The American system is not a democracy. It is a constitutional republic. A democracy, if you attach meaning to terms, is a system of unlimited majority rule; the classic example is ancient Athens. And the symbol of it is the fate of Socrates, who was put to death legally, because the majority didn’t like what he was saying, although he had initiated no force and had violated no one’s rights.
Democracy, in short, is a form of collectivism, which denies individual rights: the majority can do whatever it wants with no restrictions. In principle, the democratic government is all-powerful.
Democracy is a totalitarian manifestation; it is not a form of freedom.."
(Leonard Peikoff)
"Democracy is not freedom. Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to eat for lunch. Freedom comes from the recognition of certain rights which may not be taken, not even by a 99% vote. Those rights are spelled out in the Bill of Rights and in our California Constitution. Voters and politicians alike would do well to take a look at the rights we each hold, which must never be chipped away by the whim of the majority."
