We read:
"A 21-year-old Virginia man who wrote an abbreviated version of the Fourth Amendment on his body and stripped to his shorts at an airport security screening area is demanding $250,000 in damages for being detained on a disorderly conduct charge. ...
Among other things, the federal lawsuit claims wrongful detention and a breach of the First Amendment and Fourth Amendment."

He seems to have a pretty good case to me

I'm confused, is the airport a locker room at the fitness center? Why the need to strip to your shorts? Wear the Fourth Amendment t-shirt and make your statement without acting like you're at the beach! Nobody wants to see you naked or half-naked, there's NO NEED to cause a ruckus and slow down the security line.
Seriously, is there any modesty left? For the love of God, even Hugh Hefner wears a ROBE when he walks around the Playboy Mansion.

Well, you're right that he has a good 4th Amendment case Jon, but it appears they too have a good case for disorderly conduct, because of his (IMO) stupid decision to undress. Had they told him to undress, which they didn't, that would be a different matter. As Mr. Smith said above, he could have just as easily made the same (justified) statement without the foolishness.
How is it any different from that woman in a bikini last November?
From http://bit.ly/dJO5pr -
After arriving at her destination, Theile told NBCLA over the phone that the TSA agents got a laugh out of her outfit.
"The woman looked at me and said, 'Girl, you wearing a bikini. Come right through.' She had a big smile on her face," Theile said. "I think this might be the way I travel from here on out. So, we'll see."

#1. Women get away with everything. #2. If she had unstrapped the bikini top, she would have been arrested for indecent exposure.

Thanks, I'm not used to people agreeing with me. ;)

Not really. Without his so-called foolishness, his story would not have been told. Sometimes, you have to hit someone aside the head with a two-by-four to get attention. Works well with the teabaggers.
I have no problem with what he did. Any jab at the nazi tsa is fine with me and their leader himmlernapoleonass.
