Newspaper Compared the Redskins to WHAT?‏

The New York Daily News published a political cartoon Thursday comparing the Washington Redskins to Nazis and Confederates.  The cartoon’s caption reads, “Archaic Symbols of Pride and Heritage.”

The cartoon is, of course, in reference of the team’s name, which is facing controversy over charges that it’s “racist,” “insensitive” and “politically incorrect.”

Understand that the NY Daily News is now even further to the left than the NY Times.

So much for tolerance.

For once I have to agree with the commies. The team must remove the word "Washington" from the team name as it is insulting to the players who actually accomplish something.

Let's try the Washington Overlords. Sums up the Washington scene pretty well. Of course, that name might upset all the "public servants" that inhabit the place.

Or, they can try something different. The team can tell everybody to go and fuck themselves and keep playing.
