TMZ accused of racism, bigotry over Boston bombing article that blames hip hop

TMZ has been accused of insensitivity, racism and bigotry after posting an article on the Boston bombings and subsequent manhunt.

The gossip website posted a brief article in which they appeared to be linking the terrorist attack to hip hop music and its "violent", "degrading" culture. The evidence? Tamerlan was signed up to a website called Real-HipHop.com and liked hip hop.

I gather that nobody was saying that HipHop CAUSED the masssacre so what is the problem about noting that a violent man liked violent music?  Or are we supposed to ignore the violent lyrics of HipHop?

Racism, from the left-wing Jewish lawyer who owns TMZ?

Well it now seems the Boston bombing was yet another case of islamic radicalization of vulnerable youngsters by cynical imams.

Yep - another case of indoctrination by clerics aka brain-washing (now at least the Christian ones have dampened down their earlier fiery rhetoric!).

Religions get a pass, so mosques, churches, etc. can bring "preachers" into the US and other western countries, and it's hard to get rid of them when they claim rights they wouldn't give to anyone else.

More likely the Tsarnaevs were recruited in retaliation for the Obama Admin's decision to help the Russians hunt down and kill specific Chechen terrorist leaders.

Terrorism is war by proxy, sadly a very successful technique in an age of media denial and spin (exhibit A, the House Of Saud), but war by proxy nonetheless. Never forget that.

Yes we ARE supposed to ignore violent lyrics (when the singer is black anyway).

BUT...

We (liberals and the media) can speculate all day long how this might be the fault of Rush Limbaugh, Republicans, Tea Party "terrorists," or their favorite boogie-man "right wing extremists!"
