Homebuilders scrap 'master bedroom' because of racist, gender-biased connotations
The “master suite” is being phased out — not from our homes, but from our lexicon.
A survey of 10 major Washington, D.C.-area homebuilders found that six no longer use the term “master” in their floor plans to describe the largest bedroom in the house. They have replaced it with “owner’s suite” or “owner’s bedroom” or, in one case, “mastre bedroom.”
Why? In large part for exactly the reason you would think: “Master” has connotation problems, in gender (it skews toward male) and race (the slave-master).

The only problem is in the head of the person who is offended by the term.
Agreed the problem is in the heads of the perpetually offended. However, the bigger problem is the appeasement brigade that surrenders to this idiocy in the wink of an eye, in order not to "offend" don't ya' know.
I foresee a time when the word 'master' is referred to as 'the m word'.
One will not master a subject, one will 'fully understand a subject in all its intricacies and be able to explain said subject to others'. Or some such convoluted language.

Bedroom 1 is in the WH. Take a number. If you feel like treating it like a vote, take several numbers, asap. If you're rightwing, your number will be assigned and tattooed on your left arm.

The company I work for uses large computing clusters for managing larger data sets. Our systems have one "master" node and up to several hundred "slave" nodes. Im sure any day now we will have to change that.
