Black hate speech
Ms. Wright was a counselor at Andrew Jackson Middle School in Grand Prairie ISD. That was until the district announced that she has been “immediately relieved of all duties.” The action was reportedly taken after an offensive remark written from her Facebook page (now removed from the web) was posted on WFAA-TV’s Facebook page. The statement in question referenced to the tragedy in West, Texas.
WFAA’s report states that the school district was quite clear in how they viewed the statement attributed to Ms. Wright, calling it “highly offensive, insensitive to the tragedy happening to our friends and neighbors in West, and disrespectful to the very human bond that we share with the people of West, especially those who have lost their loved ones.”

She wasn't speaking as a counselor, or a school district employee. Unless she has something of a "celebrity status" this falls well within the realm of "free speech," and for the government (school district) to take punitive action may be a violation of her civil rights. She should contact the ACLU or the Freedom Foundation.
Ah yes, the precious "civil right" to be as uncivil as I can be. Quite right, it's her right to be an uncivil, racist, uncouth boob, but it should be my right as a taxpayer not to have her teaching, i.e indoctrinating, my children. Until I have a true choice, vouchers, as to where my kids go to school these so-called teachers need to go. Free speech is not free from consequences. Put it up on Facebook and you might as well get a bullhorn and stand on the steps of the school to preach your hate. Unacceptable conduct from a teacher, period.
Free-speech is good as it reveals the truth of what a person really thinks or believes, and on that basis the rest of society can respond or react more appropriately.
Just think if a white person had said the same thing about blacks getting wipped out the media sharks would go on one of their usial Feeding Frenzies
She claims her FaceBook account was hacked, she had nothing to do with the message and she has posted a complaint with Facebook. I suppose anything is possible. Make an enemy of someone - easy for a councilor working with kids - and it could happen.
In this case wait and see what turns up seems to be a reasonable response.
What is equally disturbing is that 3 people "liked" her comment!
5:21 Definitely disturbing. And proof that racism does exist among non-whites.
"Freedom of Speach" means that.there are no consequences for speach. allowing this kind of hateful speech is good because we get to find out what government employees are really like.
"its most of the whites who IS getting blown away". And this person is in our schools teaching and she don't know how to speak good? (Couldn't help that - and she doesn't know how to speak properly... :))
Let not forget Jesse Jackson, self proclaimed heir to ML King's leadership calling NYNY derogatory label "hymee town".
Anon 1:51AM : If she had said this in a school setting, or recorded speaking this way to students, I would agree with you. However, this was personal opinion stated as a private citizen. You obviously can't differentiate between work and home. So when you are hired by the state, you lose your rights as a private citizen? That is the most pernicious threat to freedom - the glee with which people would have others give it away!
And, if that's the case, it's obvious "the real her" is the one at home.
And the real one at home allows her personal opinions to be public online, so she's not only racist, but indiscreet and rather foolish.
Anon 1:51AM, then why do students get punished for what they say on their private FB pages on their own time?
What's good for the goose...
