Emanyea Lockett
We read:
"A 9-year-old boy North Carolina boy was suspended for calling a teacher “cute,” WSOCTV.com reports.
The boy’s mother, Chiquita Lockett, said the principal of Brookside Elementary in Gastonia called her after the incident to say the comment was a form of “sexual harassment.”
"It's not like he went up to the woman and tried to grab her or touch her in a sexual way," Lockett said. "So why would he be suspended for two days?”
According to the station, a district spokeswoman said she could not go into detail, but said the boy was suspended for "inappropriate behavior" after making "inappropriate statements."
The district's Code of Conduct doesn't list "inappropriate behavior," but says "disruption of school" is punishable by five days of out-of-school suspension.

This seems absurd on the face of it but early sexual maturity is common among blacks so the comment could have been sexually motivated.

He's a player!
Of course, if his teacher was a male, it would probably be fine.
My second grade teacher used to give me a kiss on the lips (OK - a peck) sometimes at the end of the day (a couple other kids too). I just had to ask for one. I wonder if I was being sexually harassed, or was I sexually harassing her? Damn, I even invited her home to dinner once.

Shhh. Listen. Can you hear the faint cries of "racism" starting in the background after that crack?
I said it before and I'll say it again; zero tolerance policies lead only to zero tolerance for common sense.
Very true Brian.

Personally, i'm not as interested in what the kid did, as i am in where in the world they (his mother) get those names?
And the kid is BLACK which means the NAACP and JESSIE JACKSON and the RAINBOW/PUSH will be at the school demanding the principals resignation
The Black community vs the Teachers Unions.
THAT train wreck should be fun to watch!
Can you imagine if the kid "thought he was gay" and the teacher was a male, and complained that the kid called him "cute"? Liberals would I think actually punish the teacher for being "homophobic".
What would the school have done if the kid had said his teacher was ugly?
It's a case of women being made hyper-sensitive to anything remotely suggestive of a sexual advance - unless of course they want one; and then if a desired one isn't forthcoming, it's seen as a snub and therefore anti-women! So whatever a male does is wrong unless a woman wants it at the right time! Talk about one-sided!
The results of the NEA in our schools and the so called separation of CHRUCH and STATE
The school has now said there were other incidents with the child and the suspension was a result of a culmination of all the events.
However, when interviewed, the kid could not point to a single incident where he was reprimanded for something he said. The mother of the child claims no notice of the other incidents were sent home as per the school's disciplinary rules.
At this point, it seems the school vastly overreached as there is nothing to support their claim of previous incidents.
"separation of CHRUCH and STATE"
yes, I do think that crutches should be kept separate from the state. Why help the gimps?
As a followup to this story, the principal has been fired.
Last week the school district apologized for suspending the child.
