Does a simple Firefox add-on make SOPA useless?

SOPA is an internet censorship law presently under active consideration by Congress. The acronym is for "Stop Online Piracy Act" but it gives the government power to blacklist and block any internet site that it dislikes.
"As the world of SOPA continues to turn, the emergence of a simple Firefox browser add-on may render the potential punitive actions of these protection acts null and void; or, at least ineffective, if not outright useless.

Firefox, which already boasts an outspoken stance against SOPA, and has already shown they are willing to stand by add-on developers who create circumvention extensions designed to go around measures currently employed by Homeland Security, has welcomed a new add-on, one that is designed to circumvent whatever SOPA website blacklists that are created, provided the bills become law.

Remember when America was a free country?

Want a peek at the future? Get yourself a copy of the movie, "Red Dawn". If you're smart, you will then know what's coming.

Hey man, the Soviet Union ceased to exist 20 years ago. I seriously doubt the commies are going to invade and take over.

Yep, more deliberately loose definitions :- commies, socialists, atheists, etc. Read more Orwell for abuse of terms.

Are you sure you are not a politician by trade? The animals in charge are more equal than the rest of us animals, that's for sure.

Seems GoDaddy is suffering a boycott due to it's support of SOPA. SOPA is merely a power grab. The pols will continue to try and get control of the internet over and over. They seem to be having greater success in Austrailia and the UK.

While the Firefox extension might be a good idea, the bill contains a provision to seek injunctions and penalties against those who publish information on how to circumvent domain blocks.

Nice, eh?

And this is where you all get to learn to use Linux if you want to be able to go where you want. Write your own software, avoid the problem

@Bird- Seriously, did you learn English from trying to phonetically pronounce the subtitles on bad Japanese anime? At least get something to spell check your posts. Since you can't be bothered with grammatical correctness the least you could do is let your computer make sure your drivel is spelled correctly.

Bird has proved quite impervious to any previous criticism of his/her linguistic style. Perhaps it's an accepted dialect in the avairy he/she inhabits.
