An anti-Christian lottery?

The far from random results suggest a rigged ballot
" Atheist messages have displaced most of the Christmas nativity scenes that local churches had placed in a California park for nearly six decades, and the churches say it was a coordinated attack.

Local churches have traditionally claimed 14 of the 21 display spaces to illustrate the story of the birth of Jesus Christ. But atheists got all but three of the spaces this year because of a new [rigged?] lottery system.

The Santa Monica Daily Press reported that churches had little or no competition for the spaces during the past 57 years. This year, 13 people bid for spaces, prompting City Hall to use a random lottery system to allot the spots. Two individuals got 18 spaces. One person can request a maximum of nine.

Jon inserted, "[rigged?]"

You got any proof of that Jonny, boy?

Anon 2:21. Obviously no proof, but the odds for it being rigged are pretty high. Firstly, when sharing out 21 spaces among 13 bidders, it seems unreasonable to allow any one bidder to take 9 of them. Then, pretty much the only way that those two atheist bidders could get the maximum allowed 9 spaces each would be for them to be first and second chosen from the ballot (otherwise bidders before them would have taken some places, so they could not have had the maximum amount). The odds of them being first and second are 0.6% - very low. The calculation is a bit more complex than that and my probability theory is a bit rusty now, but I know what I think.

Perhaps the atheists were more active and numerous in bidding and the theists typically complacent and apathetic.

In a sincere effort to help our economy and the lack of jobs, i suggest we put a $500. bounty on the head of every atheist. I know there aren't as many of them as they would have you believe, but it would still help, especially for our returning warriors.

What better way to help the economy than by creating "real" jobs, not the imaginary ones promised by the Marxist-in-Chief. At the same time, we would be ridding our society of this anti-American, anti-God, vermin.

Of course, in places where the EnviroNazi's are active, we could simply hang the atheists instead of shooting them. This would be more enviro-friendly since the ropes would be made of natural fibers.

Hey, don't we as a country need something to lift our spirits and bring back some national fun, especially after four years of radical Marxism?

BTW, every atheist head brought in by a Christian would earn that Christian an additional $500., since they have been the sole target of the atheist/left/msm hate campaign.

From the article:

Damon Vix is behind the effort.

Last year, he put up a sign quoting Thomas Jefferson: "Religions are all alike -- founded on fables and mythologies."

Google Books is really nice. Among their collection of searchable books is a series of books containing the complete works of Thomas Jefferson. This "quote" does not appear among Jefferson's writings. Even shortening the search phrase to "fables and mythologies" did not get a single hit on anything even remotely resembling this "quotation".

Why am I not surprised?

The point is about what Damon Dix is doing to push his agenda, not about the person he is abusing.
