Authoritarian Canada again

Americans for Truth About Homosexuality founder Peter LaBarbera has returned to the U.S. from Canada, where he experienced the ramifications of that country's hate speech law – firsthand.

LaBarbera traveled to Saskatchewan last week for a speech before a pro-life group, but was detained at Regina International Airport and told he would be deported from Canada on the basis of violating the country's hate speech law, although he had yet to speak.

LaBarbera, Peter"Which is incredible," he tells OneNewsNow. "We appealed the decision and some political pressure was brought to bear by conservative members of Parliament; and when I went back for my appeal, they let me in [the country] – but I was very close to being banned from Canada under the guise that my group ... promotes hate against homosexuals."

He was released, then made his speech, but later was arrested at the University of Regina while distributing pro-life pamphlets and information on homosexuality. LaBarbera wasn't accused of violating the hate speech law in that matter, but was charged with trespassing – a charge that later was reduced to mischief.

"So what I witnessed was a firsthand lesson in hate-speech politics," he summarizes. "If you say that certain ideas – for example, opposition to homosexuality – are 'hateful,' then the next step is to ban those points of view. And that's what's going on in Canada."

Sounds like a lot of people "protesteth too much" about homosexuality/lesbianism. Perhaps one doesn't need to be a professional psychologist to get to the underlying motivation for the hostility!

Typical leftist selective quoting method:

Peter LaBarbera said "my group ... promotes hate against homosexuals."

The text used is pulled in complete violation of it's context and those three dots cover nearly a paragraph of other material.

With all of the linked articles Anon 1:16 provided he had to go to such a complete lie of a quoting job to make him say that? Just how lame is that?

Of course "rightwingwatch.org" is in fact a hateful organization, something that's easily noticed by perusing it's content which means Anon 1:16 uses a hater to try to point out a hater.

That's right Anon 2:55, kill the messenger, something the right loves to do. Typical right wing cretin.

Please don't feed the trolls, guys. Leave them alone to surf porn and see examples of girls and other stuff they know nothing about. They'll eventually go away when they realize no one cares when they're acting up.

stinky is at again demonizing anything he doesn't like as coming from a troll (maybe it's witchcraft at work too).

And yet another troll self-identifies. Yawn. Too easy.

What LaBarbera actually said:

"We appealed the decision and some political pressure was brought to bear by conservative members of Parliament; and when I went back for my appeal, they let me in [the country] – but I was very close to being banned from Canada under the guise that my group ... promotes hate against homosexuals."
Activist's travelogue reveals impact of Canada's 'hate speech' law

This is the closest I could find to the complete context. I was hoping to find something which includes the text hidden by the ellipsis, but it doesn't seem to be online.

Still, it's enough to show that Anon 1:16 actively lied by taking that quote out of context. He was stating what others were accusing him of, not what he's actually doing.

That kind of active, willful, and malicious lying is what marks rightwingwatch as a hate site.

Or should we just take a page out of anon's playbook? "Anonymous … promotes hate against homosexuals." See? See? He even admits it! </sarc>

When any government, or any church for that matter, undertakes to say to its subjects, This you may not read, this you must not see, this you are forbidden to know, the end result is tyranny and oppression no matter how holy the motives.

Canada's "socialist" educational system might have taught 'Bird' the usefulness of punctuation, as well as preventing his bizarre mode of spelling in many other of his posts (unless that's some form of eccentric joke).

Anon 11:35:

They are not his "exact words." They are selective editing without context.

Using the same "logic" and "exactitude" you believe in, may I remind you that you said about yourself:

I am .. bullshit.

As bovine fecal matter, may I humbly suggest you take a shower? Or "go away?"

Oh, I get it now.

Lying is telling the truth!

Which version of NewSpeak is that? I'm having trouble keeping track.

Anon 2:37 is exactly right. Well said!
