Alec Baldwin suspended by TV network MSNBC after gay slur

Being a Leftist, he gets only minor punishment

MSNBC isn't standing by its homophobic man.  After eternally angry Alec Baldwin let loose his latest anti-gay rant — calling a NY Post photographer a "c–ks–king f-g" — the cable network yanked its flailing "Up Late" chat-show host off the air for two episodes starting Friday night.

Baldwin contritely announced his own suspension in a statement on the MSNBC web site.

"I did not intend to hurt or offend anyone with my choice of words, but clearly I have – and for that I am deeply sorry," he wrote. "I understand "Up Late" will be taken off the schedule for tonight and next week.

"I want to apologize to my loyal fans and to my colleagues at MSNBC – both for my actions and for distracting from their good work. Again, please accept my apology."

The announcement came hours after the former "30 Rock'' star trotted out a gay friend to defend him.

I really don't care what Baldwin said in private- that's his business.

Nice to see a left wing arsehole getting the same treatment as everyone else.

Actually 6:07, his remarks were made in public.

And 9:27, the point is that Baldwin, and others on the Left, (do not) get the same punishment as a non-leftist saying/doing the same thing. They get off (very) lightly.

What this left-wing cretin is showing us is the "tolerance" the Left is so well known for. ;)

There is no such thing as "abusing" free speech. We wither have free speech or we don't.

I have the right to be the biggest racists, bigot and moron I want to be. THAT is the beauty of the first amendment!

The only censorship I agree with is the right of people not to listen!

Is Luke Warm trying to be ironic, or just doesn't realize it?

1:03 - you can have free-speech and at the same time abuse it, just as you can have any privilege and abuse it.
Good luck with being the moron you mention having the right to be!
