Belief in a "moderate" Islam is compulsory

We read:
"Today we witness the blatant desperation in our culture and media for a “moderate Islam” — an Islam that many non-Muslims vehemently insist exists, but that mysteriously eludes them. This moderate Islam will make everything better, we are told, once the “extremists,” who are the “minority” in Islam, will be sedated. This sedation will be most easily achieved, the argument continues, when the Islamophobes stop blaming Islam after Islamic terrorists point to Islamic scriptures in explaining what inspired them to perpetrate their terrorist attacks.

Meanwhile, in terms of the planet that we happen to be occupying, a “moderate Islam” is nowhere to be found; no school of Islamic jurisprudence exists that counsels Muslims to renounce the Qur’an’s teachings on Islamic supremacism and the obligation of violent jihad. And yet, to suggest the truth of this reality in our culture gets one only the accusation of being a racist and an “Islamophobe.”

I very rarely say this but "read the whole thing" in this case.

What seems to escape the "enlightened ones" of the Left is that if anything, moderation is the opposite of Islam. All one needs to know about radical Islam is that it is a cult which requires it's followers to kill "all" non-believers.

Ironically, when radical muslims take control of a society, the liberal enlightened ones are the first heads to roll. So, as you can see, even radical Islam does have it's benifits. Call it a gene-pool filter.

I like the last paragraph by Robert Spencer:

"We beg no more. We entreat no more. We petition no more. We defy them. We are not the aggressors. We are not haters. We are not racists. We are not bigots. We are not neofascists. Those who claim otherwise are knowingly or unknowingly abetting a monstrous evil. We withdraw our sanction from them. We must no longer treat journalists as if they were objective reporters when they are ideologues and propagandists. We must constantly call them out on their game. And refuse to play it ourselves."

if you think about it, asking a Muslim to "renounce the Qur’an’s teachings on Islamic supremacism and the obligation of violent jihad." is really no different from asking a Christian to renounce Biblical teachings against homosexuality. Secularists and politicians could happily comply, but to the devout follower, it will never happen.

I wish Leftists would take that into consideration when they so vehemently slam Christians for their anti-homosexual stance.

---The difference is Muslims act on those beliefs. That means Muslims kill in the name of Islam. Christians don't usually kill in the name of Christianity, and the ones that do are often condemned for it.

Sad that we see no politicians with backbone of Gert Wilders willing to call out the appeasers in Australia. What will it take for this country to come to its senses after the recent Islamic rantings in Sydney?

There are no moderate Islamists only sleeper agents planted to spearhead the Jihad. When they shed their moderate mask it will already be to late. Heed the warning signs.

Where does it say in the Qur'an that the 70 virgins are women?!?

I suppose "moderate muslims" are just the people who only practise a community religion in a rather apathetic non-thinking sort of way - much like many so-called christians. And are too busy with everyday living to spend time analyzing their religion, although out of bias they would automatically and uncritically support whatever an imam or someone with supposed authority said, again much like many christians defer to the authority of a priest or pastor.

I don't see daily news articles of Christians (or Jews, Buddhists, Hindi, atheists et al.) committing atrocities such as suicide bombings and breaching basic human rights such as proposing stoning women after whipping them 99 times (which many Islamic countries believe in despite their membership of UN committees supporting human/women's rights) let alone the usual 'we are the victim' ploy when all else fails. Why would you move to a non-Islamic country where you go out of your way not to integrate unless you intend to ultimately take it over?

"Where does it say in the Qur'an that the 70 virgins are women?!?"

I agree with jonjayray, great comment. We need to pass it around.

As i've said many times in the past, knowing the mentality of the average American, it's easy to see that it will take far more than one 9/11 attack to make them wake up.

For a people who insist on having a wide-open society, in a borderless country, one would think they would be more aware of what goes on around them. You would think they would now be far more conscious of how many real enemies they have, and how devoted and truly dangerous those enemies are. They're not.

"To invite your enemy to live in your camp, is to hasten your own demise." --- Sun Tzu
