Movie offensive to the blind
If they can't see it, how can they be offended by it?
"Hundreds of supporters of the U.S. National Federation of the Blind are planning to protest the theatrical release tomorrow in the United States of the Canadian co-produced apocalyptic thriller Blindness, a film it has deemed "offensive" to the sight-challenged.
However, a spokesperson for the Canadian National Institute for the Blind said yesterday there are no plans to picket it here. "CNIB is not planning any protest around the movie, Blindness," CNIB spokesperson Cathy Moore said yesterday. "In fact, we haven't even seen the film."
The American organization plans to protest the movie at 75 theatres, in 21 states. Blind people and their allies plan to hand out flyers and carry signs. The federation told The Associated Press one of the slogans will read: "I'm not an actor. But I play a blind person in real life."

What do they car? They can't see it anyway.
Seriously, people are getting too touchy about everything
So I guess a deaf person shouldn't be offended by something someone says because they can't HEAR it?
Why would they be upset by a movie that may help sighted people imagine what it would be like to be blind?
They're not "sight challenged", they're BLIND! And if they don't like the movie, tell them to keep their eyes closed!
Looks like the producers of the movie might just get Blind-sided!
Go ahead, let them picket. But answer me this: How will they know the signs they carry are correct? How will they know they are at the right theaters?

Well duh!! Of course they haven't seen the movie. They're BLIND.
Hell let 'em picket. Just give 'em sign that say "We love this movie." They'll never know the difference.
I can get away with blind jokes as I'm in a wheelchair and make cripple jokes also.
Newsflash:
12 Blind people were killed in auto accidents over the weekend while protesting the movie "Blindness". Mysteriously, 2 of the protestors had been carrying protest signs which read, "Screw the Blind". It is thought that these were placed by pranksters who also misdirected the protestors into oncoming traffic. FILM AT 11.
