Must not criticize McDonald’s?

Not if you are a conservative, anyway. Leftists never stop criticizing McDonald's and trying to boycott it -- and that's OK, of course
"Lenny McAllister has been a conservative talk-show host on WVON-AM. He’s also been a mentor to 21-year-old Jentri Casaberry.

Casaberry took time off from his McDonald’s night manager job to be at the bedside of his premature son during the final hours of his life. The baby died in just the first week of life. Casaberry says McDonald’s then fired him for not showing up to work.

The word made its way to McAllister who shared the story with listeners, telling them to take a “holiday” from patronizing McDonald’s franchises owned by the operator who fired Casaberry.

For speaking out against McDonald’s, a long time advertiser with the radio station, McAllister then lost his job.

The Root, an online news source “founded in 2008 under the leadership of Prof. Henry Louis Gates Jr.” (beer summit), now reports that the Tea Party and NAACP is working together to take on the radio station

“Now the Chicago Far South Suburban branch of the NAACP is planning to protest the station to help McAllister win his job back, said branch’s president, David L. Lowery Jr. And in a strange turn of events, the Tea Party — of which McAllister is a member — is offering its assistance, Lowery said. No date has been set for the protest.

Is Mr. McAllister black? If so, this would explain why the notoriously racist NAACP is coming to his aid. If he's White, then it's all about the possibility of getting a nice "contribution", (as in $$$) from McD's.

Strip down everything to the very basics.. this man only wanted to be with his son as he died. McDonalds is the true enemy here.

It goes to show you how we all just want whats right. The NAACP and the Tea Party are working together for true justice.

This story should be heard around the globe. It brings a tear to my eye.

Question the intentions of the NAACP if you must, but in this case they are truly looking out for what is good and right in the world. Understanding is key, people need to start realizing this.

I guess this won't help Obama's create jobs initutive plan.

This isn't really about babies or McDonalds. It is about a radio presenter criticising a MAJOR advertiser and revenue source of the business he is employed by.
Do you think if I urged a public boycott of one of my firms' biggest clients they wouldn't be justified in firing me?

Sorry to all the gentle hearted people, but if I was the station manager I would have fired him as well. You do not urge a boycott against your sponsors no matter your opinion. He violated station policy.period

And McDonalds wants an employee that shows up and works. That is "right" too.

If McDonalds fired the guy for missing work this one time to be with his child, that would be a travesty. But does anyone really believe that?

Is it not more likely that this last absence was one in a string of absences? Or isn't it more likely that the guy didn't call in or find a substitute to work for him and it was not the first time?

The problem is that when applying company rules, companies no longer have discretion and wiggle room. If they fire someone for missing work "x" amount of times, the have to fire all people that miss work "x" amount of times. Lawyers and laws have locked them into that position.

McDonalds may be in the wrong here, but another article says that Jentri Casaberry simply did not show up for work. Many places would fire someone for not showing up. Borrow a phone, have someone stop by the restaurant, or something. An adult can be responsible to both his child and his employer.

So you people admit to accepting things that you are told by your totalitarian worldview.

You are now justifying why you think you shouldn't speak out about what you think is right, even if it causes you harm. Well.. that's true. He's a true American, no matter what punishment he received he ignored it even to the point of it costing him his job.

There's something wrong. You are justifying why your right to freedom of speech is worthless because of a companies policy. Where do you draw the line?

This is just the media being controlled by McDonalds to get you to believe what they want to. They fired him for talking out against them, now they are trying to bend the facts in their favor.

This has conspiracy written all over it. BOYCOTT MCDONALDS!

"Anon 12:50,

Just go away, troll; you are such an obvious fool."

What did the troll say? How do we know you're not the troll?

Can you check this guys i.p. I'm not sure if it's really stinky... Why does stinky insist on using a anonymous account? Why doesn't he get a google account? I think he's trying to troll. Especially with a name like "stinky."

He thinks this other troll is a threat to his style of trolling. I've seen this before on my own blog, two trolls fighting for territory. You may think you trust someone but you can't be certain of their own intentions unless you remove the anonymous posting feature. Usually the ones crying "troll" are the trolls themselves, trying to influence the blog.
