She never paused speaking. When Secretary Clinton began her speech, Mr. McGovern remained standing silently in the audience and turned his back. Mr. McGovern, a veteran Army officer who also worked as a C.I.A. analyst for 27 years, was wearing a Veterans for Peace t-shirt."
Blind-sided by security officers who pounced upon him, Mr. McGovern remarked, as he was hauled out the door, "So this is America?" Mr. McGovern is covered with bruises, lacerations and contusions inflicted in the assault.

I think peaceniks are stupid but he was doing no harm. And it sends a clear message about what to expect from Left-run America.

Mr. McGovern was engaged in a peaceful protest, and as such, his actions are fully protected by the Constitution, a document Hitlary Clinton, (or Mrs Bubba) is not all that familiar with, unless it happens to suit her purpose.
BTW, where and when did she come by enough foreign policy experience to be Sec. of State? In fact, she has no real experience at anything, which clearly qualifies her to be president.

The Constitution allows for free speech and therefore protest, but it does not guarantee a platform.
George Washington is a private university hosting an event. They have the right to set parameters of conduct.
If Mr. McGovern was blocking the view of others by standing in their way, the security of the event has every right to ask him to sit down or escort him from the premises.
In other articles on this, McGovern says that he usually has someone there to watch his back to warn him of people approaching him asking him to sit down or leave. It appears even he knows that he doesn't have an absolute right to not follow the legal direction of a police officer to either sit down or be accused of trespassing.
I think the fascist that beat the man up should have their asses kicked and they should be sent to iran where their type is appreciated.

Anon 4:02, free speech does not require a platform. And "if" Mr. McGovern was blocking someone else, was he asked to sit, or was he simply seen as a "disruptor" and set upon? The latter seems to be the case.

Actually, the former seems to be the case to me. In the video I have seen, there is some whispering and then the man's voice is raised. The video then swings to him being escorted out.
This is totally in line with the idea that he was asked to sit, he refused, and then as "professional protesters" do, went limp when he was escorted away.
We see this with protesters from the left all the time where they create the scene, and then say they were accosted.
This guy does this to get attention and it appears that when he was legally asked to leave, refused to do so and was physically removed.
