Article below from Australia. From what I see, the most common Muslim population group in Australia is the Lebanese, who are not physically distinguishable from Europeans.
"A Sydney council's rejection of a proposed Islamic school is a victory for racism, a Muslim community organisation says. Camden Council last night voted unanimously to reject a proposal for a 1200-student Islamic school, a decision that followed months of heated community meetings and the release of an adverse report by the council's planners last week.
Mayor Chris Patterson said the council's decision was based on concerns surrounding the impact on traffic flows, loss of agricultural land, highlighted in the planners report and not on religious grounds.
But the independent think tank FAIR (Forum on Australia's Islamic Relations) said the decision came as no surprise and was "a reflection of unwarranted fear and ignorance about Islam". .... "I see this as a victory for racism.

That people might have good reasons for not wanting a Madrassa in their midst must not be even dreamed of, of course

But it's like the "cry wolf" syndrome - the mis-used and tired tactic will eventually fail the players just when it might have rescued them.
not with racism. Almost veryone is so eager to be PC and "diverse" that they'll fall over themselves to prevent anything that could possibly be construed as racist and will instantly reverse their position when the very idea of a possibillity of an accusation of racism is hinted at.
yea. dey race cross de borda befo deys blows up!
For those of us who know better, we're now recognizing the difference between situations when bigotry is real, and when it's purely imaginary, and those who cry "racism" when it isn't present are rapidly losing credibility with those who know better. Had it been a case of the Sydney council being presented with the proposal and summarily saying, "They want to build a MUSLIM school? That's all I need to know - Rejected! NEXT!", then bigotry would have been real. Since the council's decision was based on concerns surrounding the impact on traffic flows, loss of agricultural land, highlighted in the planners report and not on religious grounds, the decision was not made out of hostility toward Muslims because they are Muslims, therefore there was no bigotry, and therefore the complaints of racism are blatant lies that insult the intelligence of those of us who know better. A known liar, even if he speaks true, will not be believed. That's what these Muslim groups are becoming - known notorious liars.
