A snide accusation that Obama is a "catamite" (f*ggot)? No doubt the Left will find some adverse meaning. They may not bother, though, because it is unlikely that they can get at Taranto in any way.

"Cat" in American lingo, suggests a cool or hip person, as in a cool cat. Mostly used to refer to musicians, it orgionated in the 1950s. As an American, I have never heard of the term catamite.
I'm with the 3rd 'anonymous'.
I read it like a 'hip cat' or a 'cool cat' or that type of thing.
I would have thought catamite (which I have heard of, being Australian and hence semi-literate) would have been a stretch...
