The term "race card" now incorrect

Apparently it is in Canada, anyway:

"The Tories continue to boil in hot water after a Conservative, Calgary MP and Secretary of State for Multiculturalism Jason Kenney, was caught making insensitive and racist comments regarding Sikhs. A recording from 2000 has resurfaced that has Kenney suggesting that Sikhs will use "the race card" to win arguments.

In the audio recording of a conference call, Kenny says: "How do we know that this isn't overheated Sikhs using the race card, which they so often do when their credentials are being questioned?"

"I did use those remarks in a particular context and I don't think they were appropriate. I expressed regret at the time, I do so again," said Kenney. "I've devoted much of my time in public life to promoting the active involvement of Canadians from diverse backgrounds in our political institutions."

Liberal MP for Mississauga-Brampton South Navdeep Bains says that this is just a reminder to Canadians that this party (Conservatives) says one thing behind closed doors and another in public. "These attitudes are racist and insensitive. .."

I guess I would be in big trouble in Canada. Apparently you can now blame anything you like on race and you must not be criticized for it.

Yes, it's part of the progression. We can't call a censor a censor without being censored (or sued).

Some day, scholars will look back on the era we're now living in and wonder how we allowed a thing called political correctness to destroy our culture. I dare say they won't think much of our alleged intelligence. It will also be clear to them that we had lost, (or abdicated?) the ability to think for ourselves, and they will be right!

PC is turning out to be the new plague of the 21st century. It has already started to destroy our society and our freedoms, (especially speech) and has seriously, and negatively altered our very way of life. In time, political correctness will be seen as a much greater threat to free people than is terrorism!

For allowing this virus to infect our societies, the people will deserve everything they get!

Political Correctness is properly defined as letting your enemies define your speech.

Yes, I like the "clean end" definition too but mine is more honest.

People are eliminating communication, how the hell are people to understand one another if everything is to be interpreted as hate?

My communication's sole purpose should not be about making the other person(s) feel happy about themselves.

If I want someone to pass the salt, I should not need to go into detail how great they are in passing the salt.

If you pay attention, you will notice that the biggest purveyors of "PC speak" are the media's talking heads on TV, and that includes FoxNews! The second largest group pushing PC is academia. They are destroying our country!
