MTV kills anti-abortion ads; group cries foul

We read:
"There’s a storm brewing between MTV and a pro-life media group supported by Sarah Palin after the music channel abruptly yanked the non-profit’s ads just a few days into the launch of a new media campaign.

Heroic Media announced its “We Can Help” campaign, which was to air on MTV and BET, at an April 30 event attended by Palin.
The ads – which offer women with unexpected pregnancies useful information – began airing May 2, with plans to run for several weeks.

But MTV pulled the plug after just one airing. MTV spokeswoman Jeannie Kedas told FoxNews.com in a email that MTV nixed the ads because of a controversial billboard campaign launched by a group with close ties to Heroic Media.

I guess they'll have to take their advertising dollars elsewhere.

Whenever the left makes it's intolerence this visible it's a good day, because it helps those who still fail/refuse to see them for what they truly are.

"MTV nixed the ads because of a controversial billboard campaign launched by a group with close ties to Heroic Media" So they do feel association is important! - Rev Wright, Weather Underground, etc., etc!

I DONT WANT MY MTV

Well, since they're pro-abortion, i wonder if they would run ads in favor of the death penalty. Hmmm...

MTV can show offensive videos and program content, yet when a group wants to advertise a message that promotes responsibility and personal accountability, it gets nixed. Welcome to America, 2011.

I'll bet if the same ad had Islamic overtones, it would have been kept.

Does anyone else remember when MTV (Music Television) used to play these things called "Music Videos"?

Yes sig, i do. I even remember when TV consisted of programs that were occasionally interrupted by commercials, rather than commercials which are occasionally interrupted by programs, as it is now.
