The latest TSA abomination: Now it blocks websites with “Controversial Opinions”

Will other Federal agencies follow suit?
"The Transportation Security Administration will block all websites that contain “controversial opinion” from its federal computers in the latest example of how Internet censorship is expanding in both the private and public sector as the federal government prepares to push through a power grab that will empower President Obama to shut down the world wide web with an emergency decree.

“The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is blocking certain websites from the federal agency’s computers, including halting access by staffers to any Internet pages that contain a “controversial opinion,” according to an internal email obtained by CBS News.”

The new rules came into force on July 1, and prevent TSA employees from accessing such content, though what is deemed “controversial opinion” is not explained. Undoubtedly, the ban list will include websites which specialize in criticism of the government and federal agencies.

Internet censorship is expanding by stealth across numerous private and public network hubs. We routinely receive emails from visitors alarmed at the fact that their local library, university or transport center has blocked Alex Jones’ websites under the justification that they contain “hate speech”. Hate speech is being cited as an excuse to bar access to material critical of the state.

Indeed, at London’s St. Pancras station, one of the busiest international transport hubs in the world, Prison Planet.com, Infowars.com, and even mildly political websites are all censored on the facility’s free wi-fi network. In Communist China, where the state blocks most political websites, Alex Jones’ content is still accessible. In this instance, the Internet censorship policies of so-called free western nations are more draconian than those employed by the Chinese.

I can understand the govt. blocking "their employees" from accessing certain sites on "their" computer systems. I feel any employer has that right. What i (don't) believe is any explanation (see: excuse) they give to hide the true motive, which is of course, politically motivated censorship.

It has been quite clear to many of us for some time that the Marxist govt. now in power in DC has set the internet as one of it's major targets for control. First, to silence it's many critics, and second, to generate as much revenue as possible. (in that order) The day is coming when we'll see "any and all" internet activity taxed. Slowly at first, but with ever increasing speed. The elcted lying crooks have been after this ability for a long time. And of course, once the federal govt. gets away with it, the state and local govts. will jump at the chance to copy them.

What this boils down to is yet another way for the govt. to deprive so-called "free people" of their freedom and liberty. In fact, this is just one of the many things that are being done to achieve that end.

But, a govt. can not deprive people of their freedom and liberty (unless) those people allow it to happen. Generally speaking, American voters are some of the dumbest and most gullible on the planet. They rely on 30 second TV commercials to decide who will rule them and their nation, then complain when it all goes wrong, as it is now.

In the very near future, America will either become a slave nation ruled by leftists and Marxists who are aiming for "total" control of the people, or, America will have to go through another revolution. The results of the Nov. mid-term elections will decide which course we take.

Apparently, Butch Napilitano, the head of the Dept. of Homeland Stupidity, reads the blogs because she/he/it has backed away from the order to deprive Americans of their liberty and freedom. Actually, that order came from the Muslim in the WH and his staff of control freaks.
