Must not "control" even pictures of a woman

Feminist rage:
"A Melbourne bookstore has sparked outrage after being discovered selling a "control a woman" remote - on International Women's Day. The ABC reported Borders was forced to defend the $15 novelty product after a woman told of her anger at seeing it during last week's celebration of female rights and achievements.

Katie Robertson told ABC Radio she was "troubled" by the toy, "mainly because it encourages a stereotype of women as submissive, who are to be controlled". "There are certain buttons on there. For example, the male may decide that he wants beer, sex or food," she said. "He may press a button in which he requires the woman to remove her clothes, cook, clean, leave, (or) say yes. "There's also a button in which you can increase her breast size."

Borders spokeswoman Lauren Thompson said the product was intended to be "a bit funny, a bit of a gimmick", adding "it is base level humour". She also said the chain sells a "control a man" remote, which has sold out.

Is Katie Robinson also outraged about the Control a Man remote?

I didn't think so.

International Women's Day? So the people who are always complaining about sexism are themselves, sexist! How typical. Of course, if the device had a phallic shape, (like most womens products have) it too would have sold out.

I wonder if, as is typical, Ms. Robertson is one of those disgusting cows that has to pay men to look at her.

I will order one if it has a 'Mute' button...that works. ;)

"What do women want?" - the eternal question!
(but guess it just boils down to the volatile hormone balance at the time of asking - oops sorry is biology sexist - well YES it is!

So is Katie Robinson really so naive as to believe those "Control a woman" remotes actually WORK?

No, it's most likely a desperate cry for attention, which is usually the case.

Um, WTF, it's not real. The article is written as though Ms. Robertson actually believes the buttons do as they are labeled. Is this lady f*cking insane or what?

And what's with this not being allowed to sell certain items on specific "celebration" days? So it's OK to sell the items on other days? If I want to sell nooses during Black History month, that's my right. You don't have to buy them.

She's just angry that no one would ever pay to control her.

If it controls the woman's choices against her will, then it should be outlawed.

If, however it controls her by causing her to freely choose those things, it should be freely sold.

If the woman chooses to choose to choose to cook, and you instead force her to choose to choose to stop cooking, it should not be allowed.

One must only allow devices that affect the root of her choices.

has borders thanked katie for the publicity or the increased sale of this product ,,,, or maybe they hired her from the getgo

So the man remote controls sold out, according to the article; but there are plenty of woman remote controls left. Leaves me to wonder if the man version actually works. After all, this woman complains and men were listening to her.
