History must be suppressed

We read:
"A US-based group of Holocaust survivors has condemned an Apple iPhone application featuring speeches by Benito Mussolini, calling it "an insult to the memory of all victims of Nazism and Fascism." "It is a disgrace and a surrender to crass commercialism that the Apple computing company has approved the release of this 'app' through their online iTunes store," Elan Steinberg, vice president of the American Gathering of Holocaust Survivors and their Descendants, said in a statement on Friday.

According to the creator of the application, Luigi Marino, Italians are downloading "iMussolini," which features audio, text and video of his speeches, at a rate of around 1000 a day. Marino launched the app last week and it is already reportedly the best-selling application on Italy's online Apple store.

Musso was not an antisemite and Italy was one of the safest places in Europe for Jews during WWII. Jews were in fact prominent members of Musso's Fascist party until Hitler pushed Musso to put a stop to that. So why are Jews protesting?

Jews are mostly Left-wing so they may well fear that listeners will recognize how similar Musso sounds to the Leftists of today -- with his raving against "plutocracy" and calling Hitler a "pederast" etc.

Don't believe me about Musso not being an antisemite? See Herzer, I. et al. (1989) The Italian refuge: Rescue of Jews during the holocaust Washington, D.C.: Catholic University of America Press for starters. Some realistic Jews praise Musso but most close their eyes to the facts.

Jews are angry because they found something they can't profit from. Well, not yet anyway.

Mussolini was a dictator, plain and simple. Italians really have short memories, do they not remember that they ended up hanging him and his wife? And by the way, while Mussolini wasn't an anti-semite he did force jews to wear the yellow star and got them removed from the media.

Maybe they don't remember it because it never happened?

Mussolini, and his mistress Clara Petacci, were shot and executed in the small village of Giulino di Mezzegra. The bodies were then taken to the Piazza Quindici Martiri in Milan where they were kicked, beaten and spat upon. Then, the bodies of Mussolini, his mistress and four other fascists were hung from a girder at an Esso station.

A picture of the bodies can be seen here: (not for the squeamish)

Mussolini's wife, Rachele, survived the war and died in 1979. Rachele and Benito Mussolini had two daughters, Edda (1910-1995) and Anna Maria (1929-1968), and three sons Vittorio (1916-1997), Bruno (1918-1941), and Romano (1927-2006).

Thank you Anon. Bobby stands corrected. Again! Apparently, Bobby thinks making people sew a star on their coats is the same as gassing them. Mussolini was a fascist/socialist just like most of todays Leftists.

From Bobby's 3:31 post:
And by the way, while Mussolini wasn't an anti-semite he did force jews to wear the yellow star and got them removed from the media.

From Bobby's 9:47 post:
"Though originally denouncing Nazi Germany's racial ideology as unrealistic and rejecting the issue of racial purity as relevant to Italian Fascism, recent historical research indicates Mussolini privately nurtured a strong anti-semitic sentiment.

"These disgusting Jews, I must destroy them all."

-- Benito Mussolini, quoted in a discussion with his lover."

From Bobby's msnbc.com sourced article:
Historians said the diaries appeared to be convincing and reinforced the image that Mussolini was strongly anti-Semitic, even though early on there was some Jewish support for his Fascist movement.

I was going to make some comment about this, but Bobby's quotes, flip flop, and lack of historical understanding say more than I ever could.

---Fine, whatever, Mussolini was wonderful for the Jews. Wearing a Jewish star in public? Wonderful! Being fired from the media and government jobs? Wonderful! Being degraded in public? Wonderful!

Action speak louder than words. You know Woodrow Wilson? Before he got elected he convinced a lot of blacks to vote for him, back then blacks only voted republican. After he got elected he re-segregated the military and the government. Get it? He got black support early on but stabbed them in the back after getting elected.

People change, anonymous, Mussolini certainly did, or maybe he didn't, maybe he simply hid his anti-semitic beliefs until it was politically expedient to use it. I don't know which is which, but wearing a yellow star is no fun at all.

You were the one that initially said that Mussolini was not an anti-Semite, and then later provided all sorts of sources saying otherwise.

People changing is a fair statement. Unfortunately, you never made that statement until AFTER your flip flop was exposed.

You initially stated Mussolini was an anti-Semite and later stated he was most definitely an anti-Semite.

(And you haven't addressed that the woman you said was hanged died in 1979.)

Your intellectual integrity is non-existent.

---So I did a little research and found out otherwise, is it intellectually dishonest to correct yourself?

"People changing is a fair statement. Unfortunately, you never made that statement until AFTER your flip flop was exposed."

---You always do this, you're more interested in debating the arguer than the argument.

You're no different than the liberals that refer to Rush Limbaugh as an idiot.

Except you never made a correction or said "after a little more research..." You left both posts stand on their own.

It is intellectually dishonest to say that you made a correction when you didn't.

---You always do this, you're more interested in debating the arguer than the argument.

What argument? Your post of 3:13 was simply one of continued ignorance on your part. Pointing that you made a series of posts contradicting yourself is part of the argument.

It is also part of the pattern you have of being dishonest.

You're no different than the liberals that refer to Rush Limbaugh as an idiot.

Wow. I am not sure whether to laugh or cry at this ridiculous attempt of yours to not own up to your own errors and ignorance.

It is pattern with you.

looks like a liberal was the first post.

Bobby, not all of the Italian Fascists agreed with the anti-Jewish laws.
