Berlusconi: Italy's Doors Only Open to Pretty Immigrants
His sense of humor has got him criticized again:
"Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi landed in hot water again after joking that Italy's doors were only open to attractive immigrants, The Sun reported Saturday.
The gaffe-prone politician, 73, held immigration talks Friday with Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha. Berisha looked uncomfortable as Berlusconi joked at a press conference, "We will only accept pretty girls from Albania."
Opposition lawmaker Paola Pellegrini slammed the quip, calling Berlusconi "an indecorous old man."

The polls show that most Italians are not at all bothered by his constant natural good humor.

I can relate to Prime Minister Berlusconi's statement.

Besides, i think Berlusconi's got a point. You wouldn't import ugly cars, or TV sets. Why import ugly people? And once we get rid of them, we can then go about the business of ridding the land of the ugliest of all things, liberals.

---You're not supposed to be importing people on the basis of looks. If I have a factory what do I care if the workers are sexy or not? If I need to hire a secretary am I not better off with the "ugly" secretary that works hard vs. the pretty girl that doesn't?
In my line of work I've seen pretty girls get away with murder. Why? Because the CD is too distracted looking at her tits instead of looking at her work. Frankly, there's nothing I hate more than a woman using her beauty to get ahead.
Frankly, I don't mind Berlusconi's joke because that's what it is, a joke. But to compare people to cars or TV sets, come on, people's looks are irrelevant unless they work in profession where looks are important.
