Sign in Georgia calls Obama-care 'N*gger Rigged'

We read:
"When you walk into the Georgia Peach Oyster Bar in Paulding County, you feel like you've walked into a different era. Behind the pool tables stands a mannequin in a Klu Klux Klan costume, but it's what's outside of the Patrick Lanzo's restaurant that has some people angry. Lanzo put up a sign that reads "Obama's plan for health-care: N*gger rig it".

CBS Atlanta's Michelle Marsh asked Lanzo why he put up the sign. "I've been putting up signs for 22 years and I've put up all kinds of political signs," said Lanzo. “Why did you use the N word?” Marsh asked. “Well, I’ve used it most of my life. There are different ways to put your opinion up, but that's just the words I choose,” Lanzo answered.

Despite the sign, Lanzo said he's not a racist. He said he's just against what he calls a "sub standard healthcare plan," which he said President Obama is trying to push through.

In case anyone is not aware of it, "n*gger rigged" is slang for fixing something in a very cheap and imperfect way, using wire, duct tape etc. I must say that during one of my stays in Los Angeles I did see a rather amazing example of "n*gger rigging" done with wire. Yes. It was done by a black man. I saw him do it. He was a very cheerful and pleasant person but with an attitude to repairs rather different from mine.

Seems like a true statment to me. Stormewaters

Just as the Cunt Hair can no longer be used as a unit of measure, another term must be found for less than proper repair.

Exactly.

You have the right to be offended.
He has the right to offend.

The term 'nigger-rigged' has since been replaced by 'presidential solution'. 'How'd you fix that?' 'I used the presidential solution'.

Anon 3:02, a fact can not be racist.

His statement is not factual, and is racist in nature.

It is clear that he likes being a racist and while he has that right, I and others have the right to label him for what he is.

The acceptable PC version is Afro Engineered, thank you very much!

As a typical liberal, you assume your opinion is fact. It is not. It is merely your opinion, and you know what they say about opinions. Besides, as a liberal, your opinions are irrelevant to rational people.

Sorry. You are the one that made the claim that an opinion was a fact.

I guess that means you must be that which you despise.

Besides, as a liberal, your opinions are irrelevant to rational people.

I agree. Your opinions are irrelevant.

The sign is racist because it uses a word considered racist , a good southerner doesn't use the N-word in front of a black person, it's not polite.

Even during segregation the polite word was "colored."

With that said, I defend Lanzo's right to be politically incorrect.

That must mean that good southerners us the N-word when NOT in front of a black person.

Anon 3:02,
Yes his sign appears racist. Why do you have to resort to name calling as in "ignorant, moron"? The implication of his sign that the "Health Care Reform" that is about to be foisted on the public is a hobbled together mess is correct.

---There are plenty of yankees who do the same. So what? If a black person doesn't hear me use the n-word, where's the harm? Besides, what about all the words black people use to describe white people? They call us whitey, honkey, cracker, white devil, etc... It's not like they're free of sin.

It is interesting that you give him a pass for his racist, ignorant, moronic rants, but want to challenge one who calls him on it.

As I said, he can say what he wants. I too enjoy that right and call him what he is.

You are not allowed to use that phrase anymore. From henceforth, it will be changed to 'A Presidential Solution'. Thank you.

The truly offensive thing about bigotry is the LIES that bigotry is based on, as if the utterer believed we were somehow too stupid to see through their lies. When we look at what is proposed in the current health care change bill, and look at the rationing of access to the system, long delays, and unsanitary conditions that similar systems elsewhere have brought about, and recognize that those ugly scenes are a preview of the horrific fate that awaits us if the current bill passes and gets implemented, and Lanzo's term refers to a cheap quality and shoddy so-called "fix", such as what's proposed in the current bill, one recognizes that the term fits quite appropriately, shocking as its words may be.
