TN: Must not mock Obama

We read:
"Sherri Goforth, a legislative staffer working for Sen. Diane Black, a Gallatin Republican, confirmed to Nashville Is Talking that she sent around an email depicting portraits of all the U.S. presidents — but on the last slot, where Barack Obama should be, there is just an empty black spot with two eyes.

When asked whether she understood the controversial nature of sending the email on her state account, Goforth replied, “I went on the wrong email and I inadvertently hit the wrong button … I’m very sick about it, and it’s one of those things I can’t change or take back.” Goforth told NIT she received a letter of reprimand from Sen. Black.

Rep. John DeBerry, the chairman of the Tennessee Black Caucus of State Legislators, said the incident reflects poorly on Tennessee and lawmakers. “It’s unfortunate, and it’s another in a series of unfortunate incidents that have happened across this country with this president,” he said. “It sends the wrong message from the state of Tennessee, and it sends the wrong message from the House and Senate. I wish it hadn’t happened.”

She obviously wished to claim that the only noteworthy thing about Obama is his blackness -- a view widely shared. His ideas are just ancient socialist claptrap.

I received today an email from a 90 year old farmer in Kansas which said (in part) "I was 13 when Roosevelt became President so watching the current international news is like watching a TV rerun or spinoff"

First, if this staffer wanted to be accurate, half the picture should be white with a black eye, since president Obummer is a half breed.

Also, rather than Rep. DeBerry getting all upset over some dumb joke, perhaps he can tell us if Tenn. has a White Caucus of State Legislators.

No he wasn't!

Jesus was an white male who voted Republican EVERY time!!

He also had strong views against the use of stem cells, and his favourite show was the A-Team.

It's all in his blog.

No, I really don't think she did. And I think that's rather ignorant to say that.

There are quite a few of these going around. The one I got was quite funny. It wasn't as detailed as this one, but it showed generalized pictures of the presidents with the quote "Can you spot the odd man out?"

These emails serve more to show how far the US has come. forty odd white guys in a row, and finally the streak is broken.

No doubt when you guys finally get around to electing a woman there'll be emails going around showing the genders of the presidents. Male symbols all the way up to the end. Would that email "Obviously demonstrate that the only noteworthy thing about [Insert Name] is her gender?" Of course not!

What is the symbol for, totally inexperienced, lying, foreign-born, Marxist, community agitator?

You realize that even IF he provides an "original" birth certificate that you'll never actually see it, right?

Short of him driving around the country, showing it to every single person, the closest you will ever see will be a copy of some kind.

Printed in the paper, a copy. Shown on Fox News, a scan, or at best, a digitized image of it (still not original).

You will never see the original. You should resign yourself to this fact.

Now why should Obama take part in such a futile exercise when he has a country to run. And quite an important country too, this isn't Monaco he's running.

Some interesting reading for you.

Clearly a liberally biased site given their reporting on whether applying a penny to a bee sting will help (http://www.snopes.com/medical/homecure/beesting.asp), and whether coke and mentos killed a child (http://www.snopes.com/horrors/freakish/mentos.asp).

But hey, why let facts get in the way of a good delusion eh?

I use to love watching the "Amos and Andy show back in the early 1950's. Does that make me a racist?

Does that make me a racist.

The Goldbergs show sterotyped the Eastern European Jewish community. I laughed at their yiddish style sthick. Does that make me an anti-Semite?

Back in the early 1960's my entire Battalion watched, laughed and critiqued Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.

Does that make me and my fellow Marines traitors?

Suck it up Libs and get on with your swarmy lives!
