"A controversial advertising campaign that uses a breast cancer slogan to sell chicken nuggets has been banned. The decision to axe Ingham's "Breast Awareness Week" billboard campaign was made after The Sunday Telegraph revealed viewers were deeply offended by the pun about snacks made from chicken breast.
Breast cancer is Australia's biggest cancer killer among females, with an average 2600 women killed by it each year. The Advertising Standards Bureau received complaints from women who described the ads as "distasteful", "offensive" and "a repulsive marketing ploy to sell chicken".
