Lots of Leftist hate speech after Giffords shooting

We read, for instance:
""When you look at unbalanced people, how they respond to the vitriol that comes out of certain mouths about tearing down the government," Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik told a news conference.

"The anger, the hatred, the bigotry that goes on in this country is getting to be outrageous. And, unfortunately, Arizona I think has become sort of the capital. We have become the Mecca for prejudice and bigotry."

SOURCE

So accusing political opponents of anger, hatred, prejudice and bigotry is NOT vitriol and not outrageous?? The Democrat sheriff's accusations are in fact among the most abusive in America today.

Dupnik has form for hate speech, of course. He was a vocal opponent of Arizona's S.B.1070, a law designed to rid the state of illegal immigrants by criminalizing their efforts to work , defining their presence in the state as trespass, and mandating immigration status checks during routine police stops. In April, Dupnik used strong language to condemn the law, calling it "racist," "disgusting" and "stupid" as well as unnecessary.

And, as Glenn Reynolds notes, after Major Nidal Hasan shot up Fort Hood while shouting "Allahu Akhbar!" the press was full of cautions about not drawing premature conclusions about a connection to Islamist terrorism. "Where," asked Mr. York, "was that caution after the shootings in Arizona?"

Weird: rightwingers say movies, video games affect behavior -- but real world violent rhetoric from leaders & radio talkers have NO impact! - Tom Tomorrow

Teaparty asses have been asking for this to happen, and how they're pissed off that we're calling them out on it. - TLW3

What we have here is an attempted assassination of a politician by an insane crank at a political event, in a state where the political discourse has been an unrelenting howl of eliminationist rhetoric and characterization of anyone to the left of Genghis Khan as a traitor and enemy of the state…and now, when six (including a nine year old girl) lie dead and another fourteen are wounded, now suddenly we're concerned that it is rude and politicizing a tragedy to point out that the right wing has produced a toxic atmosphere that pollutes our politics with hatred and the rhetoric of violence?

Screw that. Now is the time to politicize the hell out of this situation. The people who are complaining are a mix of lefty marshmallows whose first reaction to the fulfillment of right-wing fantasies by a lunatic is to drop to their knees and beg forgiveness for thinking ill of people who paint bullseyes on their political opponents, and right wing cowards who are racing to their usual tactic of attacking their critics to shame them into silence. This is NOT the time to back down and suddenly find it embarrassing to point out that right-wing pundits make a living as professional goads to insanity.

Please quotations around the above three statements. Thank you.

Tom Tomorrow, TLW3 and PZ Meyers,

Did any one of you happen to note that this crazy person's political leanings were described by those who know him as "leftist"?

Were you aware that all of large scale genocides committed during the last century (including the Nazi holocaust) were done by leftist governments? (The Nazi's were leftist, if you didn't know that you don't know your history)

Why are you so concerned about the rhetoric on the right when it's the rhetoric from the left which is the source of all the violence in Islam? Or are you deaf and blind to what's been going on there too?

The proof is in, it's the left which is unhinged by violent rhetoric and it's the left which is more likely to engage in wholesale violence.

Give one quote from a mainstream rightwing talk show host that advocates violence. Then look at the leader of the Democratic party and his violent speak: "They bring a knife, we bring a gun", "hand-to-hand combat" with Republicans, "...so I know who's ass to kick".

Before you start slinging unfounded accusations from your leftwing glass house, you might want to check your information.

Doug, here is one for you. Took 30 seconds to find.

"I am dreaming of riots in Denver."
- Rush Limbaugh

Doug said...

The irony of the Rush comment is that he was talking about an Al Sharpton comment about Obama not getting the democratic nomination for the presidency. Rush commented that if he didn't, there would be riots in Denver. He was not telling people to riot.

"He was not telling people to riot."

You are a fool if you believe that.

President Not Sure said...

Anon, you think that someone predicting riots if Obama were to not get the nomination is the same as calling for riots, then you are indeed the only fool here.

Yeah, whatever you say.

Here's another great quote;
"someone should fire a CO2 cartridge into Rush Limbaugh's head and blow him up..."
comrade Chris Matthews's on-air comment.

Don't waste your breath or time trying to get leftists to accept fact, logic, and reality. They need to live in their own sound-bite world, else they will be exposed as the weak, mindless fools that they are. AZ Sheriff "Dupe"-nik is the perfect example. "Just tell me what to believe..." is the standard cry of leftist lap-dogs.

--The killer was left-wing! What does the Tea Party, Rush Limbaugh and Fox News have to do with left-wing zealotry? Nothing! Everyone who knows the killer describes him as a liberal, he shot a CENTRIST democrat who probably had views that upset him, his favorite book is The Communist Manifesto. In fact, if he had been a listener of Limbaugh or a Tea Party attendant I doubt he would have done what he did because people on the right only use violence in SELF-DEFENSE.

As everyone knows, Tucson isn't mentioned in the Bible, not even once, so the place probably doesn't even exist. So, how can we be really sure that the alleged shooting actually happened? Yet another liberal dirty trick.

1, Loughner was a longtime Leftie, according to his friends.

2. He was also a 911 "truther".

3. He included socialist literature such as "The Communist Manifesto" and "Mein Kampf" amongst h1s favorite books.

4. His disdain for Giffords, his target, started way back in 2007.

The guy was clearly no Tea Partier; quite the opposite: he would not have been influenced by them since he didn't listen to them and he generally opposed their platform.

He also had a documented history of threatening others, such as people at the local college. One instructor even called 911 during class about him; the responding officer concluded that Loughner was not rational and suggested special ed. This was all over a non-political issue (he was late getting an assignment in and wanted an extension).

He was falling deeper by the year, it appears, into a delusional schizophrenia and felt that the govt was controlling people via "grammar."

The tragedy was made possible, really, by the ineptitude of Sheriff Dupnik who ignored all the warning signs and is now blowing as much smoke as he can in order to obscure that fact. It won't hold up over time ... but it does make a nice honey trap for the gullible. And it's working!

The current attempt by the Left to spin this incident against all facts - the above are just a subset - indicates how bereft of real issues they have become; one might say, almost delusional.

The more they insist, in Orwellian fashion, that Mr. Communist Manifesto himself was a Tea Partier, the more they confirm just how much they realize their platforms have failed. Dupnik ain't the only one blowing smoke.

This all might have worked even just 15 years ago, but the MSM ain't the sole source of info anymore, is it? The facts are coming out via the grapevine, denial notwithstanding, stubborn little things that they are.

Pass the popcorn!

"Where did all the lefty trolls come from?"

I suspect they've been lurking here all along and now, when their side is obviously losing, think that arguments are won by quantity, not quality. And perhaps by talking louder and in a profane tone. Yup, the loudest, rudest guy in the room is usually right, eh trolls?

The evidence has piled up, tho, that Loughner was, in addition to being mentally ill, a member of the Left. His views on 9-11, on Bush, on the war, on literature and on the constitution, if stated in everyday language, would be indistinguishable from those of most trolls.

So the trolls themselves are into desperation mode now cuz, well, what else have they got? Their every policy is collapsing in ruins and they have no other ideas, so demonization - even on bogus grounds - is all that remains.

But the Internet has changed everything. No longer can the false narrative win by default, and even those who do get taken in by it only do so for a short time, these days, before they find out better from the people around them. The net result is simply a further loss of credibility for the MSM.

Drip, drip, drip.

Don't waste your time Stinky. You're talking to a termnally brain-dead leftist dupe. It's like trying to talk sense to a fire hydrant. But at least the hydrant serves a rational purpose.

So a dope smoking college dropout who lived with his parents and got fired from a fast food restaurant and fired from a volunteer animal shelter and reads the Communist Manifesto who shoots and murders a Devout Catholic Conservative Judge appointed by George Bush Sr is a RIGHT WING wacko? Oh, which side of the aisle is also calling for legislation to restrict speech, imagery, and other constitutional rights? I am beginning to think that this incident might be the Democrats modern day Reichstag.
