Correcting someone’s grammar is now racist

Did you know that if a professor — whose job supposedly is to teach — corrects a student’s grammar, he is being raaaaaacist?

Of course, the “someone” must be a “person of color” — not just any color, but a person of dark, i.e., “black,” skin color.

The plain truth is that in today’s America, under the sway of Leftwing Tyranny, criticizing a person of color about ANYTHING is being racist.  That’s what Val Rust, a professor emeritus of education and information studies at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), discovered.

Robby Soave reports for The Daily Caller, Nov. 26, 2013, that members of an UCLA student group, Call 2 Action: Graduate Students of Color, launched a sit-in protest against Professor Rust because he had the temerity to — GASP! – correct the grammar, punctuation and capitalization in “minority” students’ assignments.

According to Inside Higher Education, some 25 students participated in the sit-in, including five of the 10 members of Professor Rust’s class.

Rust, who was guest-lecturing in China at the time of the sit-in, sent a letter to his colleagues in the education department, saying he meant no offense to “minorities”: “I have attempted to be rather thorough on the papers and am particularly concerned that they do a good job with their bibliographies and citations, and these students apparently don’t feel that is appropriate.”

When an English Professor gets in trouble for correcting grammar, spelling, and punctuation on English Papers, the world has officially gone mad.

His "students" don't really want an education, they just want the fancy piece of paper. Then they will have backup for the discrimination suit that will be filed, when they either don't get the job they apply for or are fired after proving they don't really have any useful skills at all.

It's yet another case of the inmates running the lunatic asylum. (I do hope I used the correct grammar and syntax!)

Anon 4:14.................Priceless! You nailed it, it's all about "equality" not competence. The new Amerika where a prescription by an affirmative action doctor is filled by an affirmative action pharmacist and the patient is buried by an affirmative action, union proud undertaker.

This is good, in the sense that, the more the word (racism) is used, the less relevant it becomes.

I'd point out that UCLA is an acronym rather than a common word, but, not knowing the race of the writer, I don't even know if I'd be an oppressor or not!

yes, they are more "equal" than the rest of us. Read Animal Farm.
