Obama's hate speech

After his outspoken defence of Biblical morality, Dan Cathy of Chick-fil-A is now routinely accused by the Left of hate speech

“I have been to this point unwilling to sign on to same-sex marriage primarily because of my understandings of the traditional definitions of marriage.”

If you dislike that comment, you will hate this one:

“I believe that marriage is the union between a man and a woman. Now, for me as a Christian ... it is also a sacred union. God’s in the mix.”

Such divisive, bigoted words surely were spat like venom by Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy, right?

Wrong.  President Barack Obama uttered the first statement on Oct. 27, 2010. Candidate Obama made the second remark to Pastor Rick Warren on Aug. 17, 2008.

The Chick-fil-A flap illustrates how thoroughly unhinged the American left has become and exposes the totalitarian temptation that stirs just beneath the thin skins of too many Democrats.

As a gay-marriage supporter, I differ with Cathy. However, his views are neither extreme nor medieval. Indeed, on May 8, they mirrored Obama’s definition of marriage. That was the day before Obama parroted Vice President Joe Biden and endorsed gay marriage. Obama instantly “evolved” and told ABC News on May 9: “...same-sex couples should be able to get married.”

While Cathy is being excoriated as a homophobic Neanderthal, just four months ago, Obama’s position on gay marriage was equally prehistoric.

Despite Dan Cathy and Obama saying essentially the same thing, there was never the slightest squeak about Obama uttering hate speech.  Leftists have no shame.  They haven't even got the first precondition of morality:  consistency.  They are psychopathic and, as such, deserve no respect.

No hoopla when Obama said something, near riots when a conservative says almost the same thing? Could it be that conservative Christians are less likely to compromise their morals?

The left will say anything to get the gullible on their side, the real problem is that they do not know what they really want other than total control of those who do not believe as they do.

I guess that means that atheists cannot be married.

1:32 No, no, no. It means for HIM. Read it - "Now, for ME as a Christian ..." It doesn't say anything about anybody else. But as some people are seriously stuck in the 'offended class' anything will be interpreted as that.

The left has become so openly anti-intellectual that I'm beginning to wonder if we're being punked. I simply have a hard time accepting that such flagrant double-standards and denial of obvious realities is even humanly possible. Yet they and their leadership do that every single day.

"denial of obvious realities"

That is clearly from your point of view. Not everybody shares your "realities", i.e, belief in a god.

…says the guy who thinks history began with Obama's election, or generously, in the late 1960's.

Being "consistent" can also mean being stubborn and refusing to change one's point of view when presented with better information (aka. pig-headedness). Better to "evolve" in life than become a "fossil" of archaic and outmoded thinking (euphemistically called "traditional").

So, now you are a mind reader. gOD has given you quite the gift, eh? LOL

3:04 AM IMHO Obama didn't evolve in his beliefs, he just figured he could get more votes if he appeared to be accepting of homosexuality.

It's called 'being a politician.

No one should be surprised at any of this. For anyone who has studied the Left, you know they have zero tolerance for anyone, or anything, that dares to disagree with them. And ironically, that total lack of tolerance is even greater among gay activists, the same people who "demand" total tolerance and acceptance from everyone.

And, if you have stuided the Left, you also know they do not believe in compromise of any kind, unless they benefit "far more" than the other side.

The culture war between the Right and the Left goes on, as it has for generations. The only thing different is the very high price those on the Right will pay for losing this war.

Someday, (perhaps) those on the Right will finally understand that the only way to defeat the Left is to use their own tactics against them. Conservatives greatest weakness is that they are, well, too conservative.

So, now you are a mind reader.

Nope. Just the argument you've used in the past.

If gay marriage is viewed from a amoral, non religious point of view, homosexuality is an evolutionary dead end. They cannot procreate and they often have a shorter life expectancy. Why should this be encouraged? Since no one is able to tell anyone else what is right and wrong, how can it be argued that people can't marry animals if they wish. A line has to be drawn somewhere. An earlier comment conservatives are just being stubborn in the face of new facts or thought. What new facts? Nothing has changed in the sexuality of humans in thousands of years. Homosexuality has been frowned on in every culture since Adam. It is argued that this is an issue of "fairness". The fact is we all have the same right to marry someone of the opposite sex and no one has the right to marry someone of the same sex. Marriage has ALWAYS been defined as a union of a man and a.woman. So now we are supposed to change the definition? This is not to provide fairness, but to legitimize a lifestyle which has never been accepted.

Our President (peace be upon him) is nothing more than a lying hypocrite who, with the help of his Liberal Senate, has done more to harm this country in the past 3 1/2 years than any president on record.

I sincerely hope this will be his last term.

No, it's called "being a habitual liar." He should be called out on it and impeached for it immediately.

12:58 Although life is not all about procreation, homosexuals can and do have children (especially lesbians), but both now and more so in the past they also had offspring because of social pressure to marry or behave heterosexually. If you really wanted gays not to pass on any traits that keep homosexuality alive in the gene pool you would encourage gay marriage and a childless marriage.
Btw. you are forgetting that polygamy was also practised widely, and still is in some countries quite legally. As for marrying animals, there has been no big move to make it legal.

Many men are indeed very scared of being considered homosexual or gay, and even come to doubt themselves if they so much as think a man looks handsome or having any interests associated with "gays", such as anything artistic. It also makes them very aggressive about and towards "gays", and unnecessarily intolerant of them.
