We read:
"Apple has pulled the Manhattan Declaration app from its App Store, apparently in response to customer complaints that the declaration amounts to hate speech. Is this part of a broader trend? See, for example, the Southern Poverty Law Center's recent report, "18 Anti-Gay Groups and Their Propaganda," in which the National Organization for Marriage is included as one of "a hard core of smaller groups, most of them religiously motivated, [which] have continued to pump out demonizing propaganda aimed at homosexuals and other sexual minorities."
To be clear, I do consider some of the rhetoric employed in opposition to SSM to amount to hate speech (under virtually any imaginable definition of "hate speech"), but I fear that we're approaching the point where opposition to SSM itself is considered hate speech, regardless of the rhetoric employed.

Apple is entitled to sell what it wants from its shop but the fact that a large business like Apple can be persuaded to cease making Christian views available is ominous.
The app was dropped in response to a petition from Leftists but a counter petition to reinstate it is already up. Since the "counter" petition has already got many more signatures than the original, it will be interesting to see what happens. If nothing happens, Christians might well get the word out to boycott Apple. There are plenty of rival products to Apple's gadgets.

Perhaps thanks to their many allies (fellow gays) in the MSM, it seems it only takes a couple of gay activists to make a business change it's direction, while creating the illusion that far more people are involved. What Christians need to do is a total boycott of "all" Apple products and services. At some point, someone at Apple will look at the numbers and realize they've made a major mistake. They will then come out with the usual feeble statement about how it was all just an "error".
Funny thing about pressure, it works in more than one direction.
The Southern Poverty Law Center is a bogus non-profit that should be closed and its founders put in jail.
They have over 300 million dollars in assets. They give nothing to charity, how they mange to exist, get money to continue and go without audit is beyond me.
The reason, they are all lawyers.
What annoys me the most in these situations is it is always ok to push one agenda and not another. Either allow both or neither. And while I am sure some opposition to SSM could be hate speech there's plenty of hate speech coming from the pro SSM side as well. It is getting to where if you simply oppose something you are a racist, bigot and a hater.
I am gay, and i guess i am a terrorist, i am agaisnt gay marriage.. what is the purpose of gay marriage? all i see it is a political game in other words a lot of bullshit that this junta in washingtoon is forcing on people.
Ahh, the voice of reason. How refreshing.
A recent poster made the point that everyone is part of the Human Race so one ethnic group group commenting about another ethnic group cannot be racist.
