Must not look poor
Charities angry as hobo chic inspires stylistas
"Charities say fashion trend where women pay thousands of dollars for ripped and threadbare clothes inspired by the homeless and destitute is "cruel and manipulative".
Inspired by the homeless and destitute, designer hobo collections feature faded, ripped and threadbare pieces many charity shops would consider un-sellable - but fashion victims are paying thousands for them.
The shabby-chic look has been embraced by the likes of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Taylor Momsen and Sienna Miller, who wore a $25,000 dress with holes and an unfinished hemline to the premiere of her Broadway play After Miss Julie.
Designers are unapologetic.

Charities are so ungrateful, the fashion industry has done events on their behalf and this is how they repay them?
Besides, fashion rarely makes sense. For years I've been seeing men put on a long sleeve shirt and then a shirt sleeve shirt on top of that one.
For years I've seen people wear clothes with holes in them, sometimes they even increase the size of the holes.
Then you got all the flip flop fanaticks that enjoy showing their feet to the world even if thousands of miles away from a beach
So in this case I stand with the designers. F-ck the charities, they should be grateful anyone gives a damn about them.
I think it's a great idea! It makes it much easier to tell the morons among us from the rational people. Also, if this catches on, maybe we can get liberals to tattoo a big "L" on their foreheads, thereby giving the rest of us a warning that we are in the presence of gross stupidity.
For some time many of us have wondered just who is Jack Schitt?
We find ourselves at a loss when someone says, 'You don't know Jack Schitt'!
Well, thanks to my genealogy efforts, you can now respond in an intellectual way.
Jack Schitt is the only son of Awe Schitt. Awe Schitt, the fertilizer magnate, who married O. Schitt, the owner of Needeep N. Schitt, Inc.
They had one son, Jack.
In turn, Jack Schitt married Noe Schitt. The deeply religious couple produced six children: Holie Schitt, Giva Schitt, Fulla Schitt, Bull Schitt, and the twins Deep Schitt and Dip Schitt.
Against her parents' objections, Deep Schitt married Dumb Schitt, a high school dropout. After being married 15 years, Jack and Noe Schitt divorced. Noe Schitt later married Ted Sherlock, and because her kids were living with them, she wanted to keep her previous name. She was then known as Noe Schitt Sherlock.
Meanwhile, Dip Schitt married Loda Schitt, and they produced a son with a rather nervous disposition named Chicken Schitt. Two of the other six children, Fulla Schitt and Giva Schitt, were inseparable throughout childhood and subsequently married the Happens brothers in a dual ceremony. The wedding announcement in the newspaper announced the Schitt-Happens nuptials. The Schitt-Happens children were Dawg, Byrd, and Horse.
Bull Schitt, the prodigal son, left home to tour the world. He recently returned from Italy with his new Italian bride, Pisa Schitt.
Now when someone says, 'You don't know Jack Schitt', you can correct them.
Hey, Crock,
Bull Schitt went on to become the leader of the conservative movement.
You mean liberal movement don't you? Everything conservatives say can be backed up with facts. The libs just make things up as they go.

No Anon, he became your president!
YOU LIE!!!
I got some worn out jeans that I will sell for $10K
Wow, this makes for an interesting opportunity indeed for unloading old, worn-out clothes. We can trade clothes that are virtually worthless to us for big money! Let's go part some fools from their money!
