They blinked!

Mark Steyn has made history! The Canadian Human Rights Tribunal has dismissed the complaint against him -- as I predicted they would. It would have threatened their survival had they done otherwise. So the end result of the Muslim whining was simply to give Mark reams of free publicity. Virtue has its reward. Read the whole story on Mark's site.

Could this mean a return to sanity in Canada? No, i don't think so either.

The complainants could be dumb enough to appeal, which would be great, get it into a real court and really bring the clowns down.

Well, it's a pretty expensive victory. It cost the defense a fortune, though the prosecution expenses are paid with taxes. Loser doesn't pay.

The real victory which could have come from this was to get things before a real judge, with real rules in an appeal. For the time being, the game continues, particularly for those without deep pockets.

You're right, which is precisely why they "dismissed" the complaint! Why take the chance in an open court room and be exposed?
