College Students Sign Petition to ‘Ban’ Rush, Beck From Radio — But Love Free Speech!

We read:
"Oliver Darcy is doing his part to expose liberal ideas and hypocrisy on college campuses. Last month he produced two videos showing students willing to redistribute wealth but not grades and also refusing to pay their share of the national debt. Now he’s back, and this time he’s showing how college students who say they support free speech are willing to sign a petition to “ban” Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and other conservatives from the airwaves.

In the video, the students are not only willing to sign the petition, but some even offer their thoughts on Beck and those like him.

“That guy’s a douchebag,” one guy says of Beck. “He’s an a**.” “I hate them bastards,” another man says, even after telling the petition author that in America and they should have a right to say what they want. He signs the petition anyway.

On his website, Exposingleftists.com, Darcy writes: "Today, many want to limit the speech of those they disagree with, primarily conservative republicans. In 1949, the Fairness Doctrine was introduced under the FCC. Under Reagan, in 1987, the FCC ended the doctrine.

While Democrat-controlled congresses have tried to make it law again, Republicans and those who support free speech oppose their efforts to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine. To begin the limitation of political speech and dissent would lead us to a downward spiral of freedoms."

You know, one of the problems of going to a college campus to gather signatures to prove a point, is that you can probably gather signatures to declare the brownie the national dessert.

Quite true, but it's more true to say that you can get any large group of leftists to sign any sort of petition. Witness the petition to ban water (identified as DiHydrogen-MonOxide) because of it's known corrosive and erosive effects that was circulated and signed by all sort of environmental luminaries at a recent global warming event.

Typical Leftist mantra "Free speech for me, but not for thee".

Obviously, we have finally reached the point where the longer you go to school, the dumber you get.

I nearly fell out of my chair. That is my Alma Matter California State University Fresno. Fresno is not some great liberal bastion like Berkeley or San Francisco. How sad and embarrassing for my school. I do remember getting asked to sign a petition back in the early 90s when I was there. I don't remember exactly what it was but it was for some wacky law that also limited free speach. Just on the face of it I knew it wasn't constitutional and refused to sign it. The girl with the petition seemed shocked and told me I was the only one that felt that way. After seeing this video, I believe it.

By the way, this is also the same school that had an illegal immigrant as the student body president this year who stated in an interview that he didn't have a driver's license and he didn't drive. Then he crashed a car on the freeway a few months later. He was not prosecuted and continues to live here illegally.
