Must not preach the Gospel in Afghanistan
We read:
"Afghan authorities suspended two Christian foreign aid groups Monday on suspicion of proselytizing in the strictly Islamic nation and said a follow-up investigation would include whether other groups were trying to convert Muslims.
U.S.-based Church World Service and Norwegian Church Aid will not be allowed to operate while the allegations, aired Sunday on Afghan television, are investigated, said Mohammad Hashim Mayar, the deputy director of the Afghan government office that oversees nongovernment organizations, known as NGOs....
Proselytizing is illegal in Afghanistan, as it is in many Muslim countries. It is a hot-button issue for many Afghans sensitive to the influence of the scores of foreign aid groups operating in the country to help it recover from decades of war.

"the influence of the scores of foreign aid groups operating in the country to help it recover from decades of war."
Are they there to help, or are they simply hunting/pushing for religious converts? Perhaps they should understand how difficult it will be for them to turn the other cheek, without a head!
The people of Afghanastan are apparently happy living in the 4th century, and obviously don't take kindly to anyone trying to change that, a fact the Marxist in the Oval Office should pay attention to.
When Afghanistan learns to control the Taliban and doesn't require our help, then fine, they can do what they want. Until then, we should be the ones making the rules.
Can you imagine Julius Caesar being told that worshiping roman gods offends the local population of Egypt? It's ridiculous that we have to follow Afghan rules after all we've done for these people.
They should be trying to be more like us!
"Afghanistan, love it or leave it."
Anon, it should read:
Leave it then NUKE it!
Surely the price of all the lives and aid should be at least some BASIC CIVIL RIGHTS!
And remember, if Islam is allowed to dominate in the West, all non-Muslims will see a similar fate.
Afghanistan + Iraq = a huge investment for a dismal return! All foreign meddling is counter-productive.
