Can a color be incorrect??

Apparently it can
"In anticipation of a ban against using words such as ‘light’ or ‘mild’ on cigarette labels and ads, tobacco companies have lightened package colors to convey the same message, a move the American Lung Association and Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., have attacked as disingenuous.

The ban, part of the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act signed a year ago by President Obama, takes effect June 22. … The FDA ’should conduct a thorough science-based review and then ban any deceptive use of colors,’ Waxman said.”

The sort of nuttiness I expect of waxy Waxhead. How can a color be "deceptive"?

This is no surprise coming from Mexifornias uber-Leftist senator Waxman. (a.k.a. Pig-Snout)

I am a non-smoker because that's what i choose to be. It's NOT some Constitutional right that i have, it's just my personal choice. But why is my personal choice so much more important and valid than the choice made by people who choose to smoke? Is there some imgaginary Constitutional right to breath clean air? If there is, punishing people (via punitive taxation) who choose to use a "legal" product will not make the air clean! Even a total ban on all tobacco products will not make it clean, in spite of what the leftist do-gooders claim.

Here in "very liberal" NYC, where a pack of cigarettes is $12.75 (1/2 of that is taxes) people "who choose" to smoke are treated worse than child molesters. If the govt. could scientifically prove all the wild claims they make about smoking, (which they can't) then why not ban the growing, sale, and possession of tobacco products? All it would take from this oppressive govt. is the stroke of a pen. Of course, they would lose "tens-of-Billions" in taxes each year. So, is it about health, or is it really about generating revenue and controlling how people live via political correctness? We all know how the Left loves to tell us how we must live, what we can eat, drink, drive, etc. And they'll punish those who refuse to comply.

Those on the left have fought tooth and nail to make sure women have a "right" to choose an abortion, yet if someone chooses to use tobacco, their right to choose is not only ignored, but punished.

As the above comment states, this issue is not really about health. It's about forcing people to comply with the dictates of a particular political agenda, and that should anger all people whether they choose to smoke or not.

Of course it can. Colors can appear incorrect under different lighting conditions.
