Anti-British bigotry from Obama
Since BP is mainly an American company these days, it is also another example of the vacuum between his ears.
"The British business community has expressed alarm at "anti-British" sentiment it says US President Barack Obama is whipping up for political reasons as the Gulf of Mexico oil spill worsens. A leading British business figure has written to U.S. President Barack Obama to warn him that his criticism of BP over the Gulf of Mexico oil spill appears "prejudicial and personal," Sky News revealed yesterday.
Hinting that the U.S. government was guilty of double standards, Napier went on to say: "There is a sense here that these attacks are being made because BP is British. "If you compare the damage inflicted on the economies of the western world by polluted securities from the irresponsible, unchecked greed and avarice of leading USA international banks, there has not been the same personalised response in or from countries beyond the US."

See also here, where an eminent Briton fires back: "Writing on his website, the Tory peer Lord Tebbit attacked President Obama, saying: “The whole might of American wealth and technology is displayed as utterly unable to deal with the disastrous spill — so what more natural than a crude, bigoted, xenophobic display of partisan, political, presidential petulance against a multinational company?”

I've never been crazy about the british, but any company that comes to America and creates jobs in America, is a friend of America.
Boycott BP Oil! To HELL with them.
But I thought the world loved the US now that Obama was in charge....
who'd a thunk!
BP may have been British at its foundation, but it's now a huge multi-national company with more American fingers in its "pie" than any other nation's. Yep, childish excuse to look for "foreign" blame!
Hasn't everyone forgotten something? The oil spill was AN ACCIDENT! Will the corrupt liars in the US congress, and their totally incompetent president, now pass a law banning accidents?
Or, is demonizing BP simply the first step toward (or the excuse to be used for) nationalizing the US oil industry? If you find that notion funny or even crazy, think about this. The American auto and banking industries also laughed, before they became government owned!
Oh yeah, evil BP did this on purpose. They wanted to lose millions of gallons of crude oil and have lots of bad press. Obama is an absolutely incompetent and ineffective president who can only point at others mistakes to distract the public from his own failures.
This is a dramatic case of dependence coming back to bite you. Instead of hard drugs this is the West's dependence on oil. Instead of polluting your brain and body, oil has ruined your environment while also making middle-easterners insanely rich and corrupt. High time to learn the hard lesson and get off the oil-fix and put more effort into finding cleaner energy technology, that not only is eco-friendly but is independent of foreigners who can blackmail you and attack you (who buy your arms with the money you pay them for the oil - oh how ironic!!).

"Hey, tell me where you BP fanboys live and I will cover your property with a barrel of oil (from BP). See how you assholes like it."
Another Kool-Aid gulping dupe who believes everything he/she/it's told. Calling the oil spill what it is, an accident, is not being a fan of BP. It's simply being a fan of common sense, something you're obviously not familiar with. What does this really mean? It means that in fact, you're the real asshole! (ie: an Obamunist)
Anon 2:54, you make some interesting suggestions, although i find it odd (but not surprising) that you make no mention about us using our own oil which would eliminate the need for oil from anyone else. Did you know that there is more oil in some of the country's so-called "fly-over" states than there is in the entire middle east? So when you look for reasons we're addicted to foreign oil, don't exclude the EnviroNazi's, those people who won't be happy until we're all living the Amish lifestyle, (all except themselves of course) who keep us from using our own.
3:51 AM. Thanks. I wasn't only talking about the US but the "West" in general; and no matter how much oil there may be in home territories, environmental and economic damage seems even worse when accidents happen there (as in this case).
