Must not mention FAT
She found herself at the centre of a social media backlash for daring to voice her opinion about an unhealthy breakfast she spotted someone tucking into.
But Location, Location, Location presenter Kirstie Allsopp yesterday defended herself against accusations of fat-shaming claiming she had shared her observation to highlight the pressure on the NHS caused by obesity.
Last week she took to Twitter and revealed: ‘Just saw a guy have a glass of coke, a cappuccino, a croissant and a ham & cheese sandwich for breakfast #OurNHSistoast #worldgonemad’
Yesterday in an open letter she posted on social media, the Location, Location, Location star said the only point she was trying to make is that if we ‘all want a functioning NHS we all need to take a pull [take responsibility].
'It’s not healthy [to eat what the man in the cafĂ© was consuming] whether it’s breakfast, lunch or supper.
'We can either take a pull and accept that what we eat hugely impacts our health and therefore #OurNHS or we can stick our heads in the sand.
'Say anything about over eating and its impact on the NHS and a whole load of folk go crazy, wonder why....

The article does not say if the man was fat.
Some people can eat that way without getting fat.
The PC nonsense knows no limits on just how rediuculous and idiotic it can get
In my lifetime almost every food we eat has been both criticized as unhealthy and praised as good for you.
I have come to the conclusion that people who claim to know what's good for you to eat and what's bad for you to eat are all just petty tyrants.
Furthermore, looking at the people around me I see almost everyone these days now matches what was considered the ideal body for millennia before people suddenly and without reason decided skinny was better around a century ago. I strongly suspect that the vast majority of those "overweight" people are actually in ideal health because that is the weight their body is maintaining.

Yep. I decided to stop listening to the dietary Chicken Littles a long time ago.
This article is the perfect example of one reason why a National Health Care\HillaryCare system is so offensive to those of us who prefer freedom to comfortable slavery.
Everything cuases obesity in the minds of the food freeaks like Micheal Jacobsen,Niel Bernard Marion Nestly Morgon Spurlock and the CSPI and PCRM as well as PETA
Loving the NHS appears to be an excuse for hating other people.
Exactly guys. What if he was a bodybuilder? The utterly useless BMI scale would say he's obese.
This is called equal opportunity after all they have been persecuting those who partake of alcohol or smoke for years about health outcomes when they have contributed more to the health system than benefits they have received for decades. It is is only fair to establish a fat tax to balance the health expenditure these people create. As an ex-smoker who likes a tipple in Australia I am sick and tired of subsidising other peoples vices like morbid obesity and illegal substance abuse who get a free ride in the health system.
Too right Anon 10:35.
As far as I know, Holland still uses cigarette taxes exclusively to treat smoking diseases where Oz grabbermint uses it for pork-bellying and self-interests.
Remember the short-lived "Alcopops" tax that was being collected before being lawfully enacted? I wonder where all that moola went.
The thing about a fat tax is that it basically becomes a sugar and/or Macca's tax that unfairly targets everyone. Some fatties also have diagnosed glandular disorders.
The problem this creates is that true face-stuffers will be singled out, which in this age of PC-ism is too immoral to contemplate, but cigs and booze are bad, m'kay and therefore the PC brigade say nothing like the cowards they are.
